Setting up a Comtrend Combo Unit for Fiber to the House (Houses on Mella Drive.)

1. Log into your Combo Unit

2. Navigate to your WAN setup page

3. Hit the remove check mark for the ipoe_eth0 interface then hit remove.

4. Hit the Add button to bring you to the WAN Service Configuration Page.

5. Inside the WAN Service Configuration Page select eth0/ETHWAN and hit Next

6. Select PPP over Ethernet (PPPoE) and then hit the next button

7. Input the users credentials and hit the next button.

8. Select ppp2 and move it into the Selected default Gateway Interfaces. Hit next

9. Select ppp2 and move it into the Selected DNS Server Interfaces. Hit Next

10. In the WAN Setup – Summary Page hit Apply and Save

11. Navigate to the DSL page. Select the option to turn off the DSL LED. Then hit Apply/Save.

12. To test the connection. Connect the Gigabit Ethernet port to a bridged modem. This will simulate the conditions the unit would be experiencing while in the field.
