Short-Term Goals

Goals you can achieve in the near future … in a day, a week, or a few months.

Examples: • Getting a good grade on an upcoming

test.• Do all my chores at home this week.• Get my homework done tonight.

Long-Term Goals

Goals you can achieve over a longer period of time … one semester, one year or even five years from now. These are the goals that are often most meaningful and important.

Examples:• Make the basketball team.• Finish my freshman year with 60 credits.• Graduate high school.• Go to college.
