    Pilot power --setting

The figure below shows the reference point for transmitter and

receiver with and without Tower Mounted Amplifier (TMA).

Ericsson offers two TMA products, WTMA and ASC.

It is worth noting how the jumper cable is defined. In the systemthe jumper cable is defined from the TMA antenna port to the

antenna connector (Config B to the right). In Configuration A

there is no separate jumper loss. All cable losses are included inthe feeder loss parameters for configuration A. Note that the

reference point has been moved from RBS antenna port to theantenna connector.

The pilot power setting at the system reference point, equal in

all cells, is now calculated with the following equation:ASCfCPICHsettingCPICH LLPP dim, dim,,

wherePCPICH,settingis the setting of the parameter primaryCpichPowerPCPICH,dimis the dimensioned pilot power value at the RBSantenna portLf,dimis the dimensioned feeder loss value for the network

LASCis the insertion loss of the TMA, including jumper lossThe pilot power and the feeder losses are entered into the system

    with the parameters primaryCpichPower, ulattenuationanddlattenuation.
