Rumber products are safer, better performing and more cost-effective than any option available.

Rumber Materials LLC manufactures composite material boards, sheets, and molded

products from 100% recycled tire rubber and plastics through its patented process.

These environmentally friendly products are extremely durable and impervious to fluids,

mud, oil, and UV rays, making them more desirable replacements for wood and plastics

in a variety of applications. A few of these applications include oil and gas, agriculture,

industrial, and military applications, with features which clearly out-perform other

materials, resulting in less down-time, fewer replacement costs, and extended product life.

What is Rumber?

Rumber is produced through its patented process

in which ground whole tire rubber and recycled

plastics are mixed and extruded through a profile

die. Once the extruded board cools, it results in a

product which is rigid and can be cut and drilled

like wood, but is also more flexible, durable and

impervious to fluids and UV Rays.

Rumber products can take the shape of boards,

timbers, sheets and molded forms.

Dear Rumber,

In December of 2001, I replaced my set back area with

Rumber. I have been working on an oil rig, drilling in the

oil field for over 20 years. I have drilled all over the world

- Texas, California, Dakotas, Middle East, South America &

Offshore. We installed a Rumber set back area on my rig

and have yet to have replaced the set back area. If I was

using wood I would have had to replace my wood set back

area 4-5 times.

Rumber has increased my rig’s performance, safety,

around 10 times less downtime, and saved my company

money. Rumber rocks.

RUMBER SET BACK AREA

TO OUR VALUED CUSTOMERSA Rumber set back area offers many advantages over a traditional wood set back area. Rumber

is environmentally friendly, easy to install, extremely durable, and comes with a slip-resistant

traction surface. While Rumber is rigid and can be cut and drilled just like wood, it also lasts

5 times longer than a traditional wood surface and will not crack, splinter, or rot. This results

in less downtime for your rig. In the end, a Rumber set back area will help your company save

money, be safer, and perform better.

At Rumber, we pride ourselves on providing our customers with a great product and top

quality customer service. With that in mind, we want to update you on our product. A small

number of our customers have experienced a “bowing” effect when using Rumber in high-

temperature environments or if subjected prolonged chemical exposure from certain drilling

muds. We have had the Rumber material tested with many different drilling muds with no

reaction or “bowing.” Additionally, Rumber boards are in use on over 2,000 drilling rigs

worldwide with approximately 1% experiencing “bowing” effect. If you do experience this issue,

we recommend taking the following corrective actions:

• Trim ¼ to ½ of an inch from the end of each Rumber board in the set back area to allow for

expansion and contraction of the Rumber.

• Ensure the area below your set back area is clean, drained, and free from any accumulated

drilling mud.

• Screw down the center section of the Rumber board.

Consistency and performance are the reasons over 2,000 rigs around the world have counted

on Rumber for over 15 years. If you ever have any questions or have any issues with a Rumber

product, please do not hesitate to contact us directly at 1-877-RUMBER1 (1-877-2371) or info@

rumber.com.

We value your business and look forward to continue our services to you in the future.

Sincerely,

Brian Adams
