What is an Enterprise Service Bus?

An Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) is a flexible connectivity infrastructure for integrating applications and services.

An ESB powers your SOA by reducing the number, size, and complexity of interfaces.

Shape = Protocol

Color = Data type

An ESB performs the following

between requestor and service

• CONVERTING transport protocols

between requestor and service

• HANDLING business events from

disparate sources

• TRANSFORMING message

formats between requestor

and service

• ROUTING messages between

services

Page 4: Session Number: S76 - Groupe de travail WebSphere MQguide.webspheremq.fr/docs/GSF_MQ_sept_2007_MBv6_Updates... · What’s New in WebSphere Message Broker? Session Number: S76
