8thgradeMesascienceclassesfromtwodifferentmiddleschoolsparticipated,foratotalofapproximately75kids.

First,spentahalfdayatthehighschool;thehighschoolstudentswiththeteacherscreatedanddeliveredtheprogram.

FollowedbyahalfdayatShriners’Hospitalwithguestspeakersandinteractivetablesandlunch.

Oneweek(36hours)instituteforhighschoolteacherstolearnaboutcommunitycollegehealthprogramsandindustry.

15teachersparticipated,eachearned2unitsofcollegecreditandastipend.

Teacherslearnedaboutthecommunitycollegesandtheirhealthprogramsinthemorning.

Gainedhands-onexperienceandexposuretovarioushealthcarecareersatindustrysitesintheafternoon.

Teachersdidafinalprojectdevelopingalessonplanandpresentingittotheothers.
