School Research -Potential new technology to help deliver employer engagement activity was in principle well received. Virtual reality software was viewed most positively with 7 in 10 describing it as
extremely or very appealing.
A number of practical reservations about using such technology including whether they would have technology in-house and sufficient internet access to make full use of these options as well as being able
to timetable it.
Pupil Research- As you would expect there was a positive response to receiving information and advice via a range of digital channels

Access to careers services will be improved through the use of new and innovative delivery channels, including online web chat and social media to allow clients to access services at a time and place that meets their needs, improving customer satisfaction and cost efficiency. This will include on line robust user friendly and up to date labour market information.

Small Business Research Initiative (SBRI): An innovative approach to government procurement, co-ordinated through Innovate UK and managed in Northern Ireland through the Department for the Economy and Department of Finance. It enables a fast-track process, particularly suited to small, medium enterprises.
Careers SBRI Challenge: to explore the potential to introduce interactive technologies aimed at enhancing the careers guidance experience for young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and to support successful transition into the workplace. (Phase 1 –March 2020)
