3rd generation beLine® technologyOur clients are currently using 2nd generation lamps; how-

ever, 3rd generation beLine® lamps are already at the final

development stage and will introduce some improvements

to the energy efficiency:

• improved efficiency of the lighting installation,

• longer lifespan due to an improved cooling system,

• quicker transition between the lighting system and light -

ing installation,

• improved vibration and lightning strike resistance (im-

proved robustness),

• these improvements will not affect the weight and size

of the beLine® lighting installations.

Technical Characteristics

The essential element that ensures the energy efficiency of

beLine® technology is LED (light-emitting diode) technology.

LED technology was invented already in 1907; however, it

took many decades for the findings of this early research to

transform into an effective final product. LED technology is

not used only in lighting installations, but also in many other

fields, especially in the production of audio devices. The ad-

vantages of LED technology are also useful in medicine.

LED diodes as a light sourceThe main component of beLine® technology is the semicon-

ductor diode. When activated, electrons emit energy in the

form of electromagnetic radiation. This radiation emits a fre-

quency and if the frequency is in our field of sight it is visible

as light. The colour of the light depends on the photon energy,

which can be regulated depending on our needs.

The efficiency of LED diodes is much greater than that of clas-

sic filament lights – the reason why LED technology is seen as

technology of the future.

®The Intelligence of beLine Technology

Analyses of conditions in industrial halls have shown that

the working processes of our clients are becoming ever

more complex in terms of time and finances. The power

and efficiency of lighting technology thus cannot meet the

specific needs of our clients. This is why they need to be

provided with unique solutions.

We have developed a system enabling remote controlled

lighting installation - ILCS (Intelligent Lighting Control Sys-

tem), which additionally improves energy efficiency. ILCS

is a constituent part of our technology, introducing certain

improvements distinguishing beLine® products from its ri-

vals:

• together with a PIR (Passive Infrared) sensor, ILCS im-

proves energy efficiency – it reduces energy use – as it

enables the temporary or permanent dimming of light-

ing installations (depending on the conditions of a par-

ticular workplace or presence status),

• ILCS enables remote controlling of lighting systems

without additional energy loss or lifespan cuts.

Changing the lighting re-gimesChanges in workplace lighting can be determined in

time intervals determined in advance, and can later

be adjusted to new lighting demands (e.g. if new

mechanical equipment, a working activity or work-

ing time are introduced in a particular part of the

industry hall).

Intelligence 7

improved by 25%

extended by 48 months

instant in 0.1 second

€ 0,00

We provide an intelligent and comprehensive

management of lighting installations.

ILCS additionally reduces energy use without reducing the

lighting of the workplace with:

• semi-dimming sensors according to the employee’s

presence/absence (e.g. 100% lighting when the worker

is present, 30% lighting when the worker is absent),

• on/off sensors when forklifts or other storage facility ve-

hicles pass through the lighting zones.

Changes to lighting regimes do not mean a new

installation or lamp reorganisation for the client.

Clients can change the lighting regime without ad-

ditional costs and by consulting SES Lighting en-

gineers who advise on the optimal lighting regime

for individual work places based on specific needs.

8 Independence

Labour legislation defines different standards for workplace

lighting, depending on the complexity, type of activity and

exposure of employees.

Our projects improve the lighting of working premises, thus

contributing to the health, well-being and productivity of em -

ployees.

Considerable improvement in industrial hall lighting• our goal is to improve workplace lighting to standard

quality,

• we provide an improvement of workplace lighting by im -

proving energy efficiency and energy savings,

• we ensure optimal colour of workplace lighting with

proper identification of product colours,

• indirectly, better conditions for the well-being, health

and work performance of the employees are ensured.

The importance of sufficient workplace lighting:• in normal conditions human sight uses approximately 25%

of the energy of the whole nervous system,

• in conditions of reduced visibility, energy consumption in

creases and fatigue occurs earlier,

• in poor lighting conditions the number of faults increases in

accord with the complexity of the workplace,

• research indicates that reduced workplace lighting increas

es the number of work-related accidents. 2/3 of work ac

cidents occur at lighting lower than 500 lx. Among these,

1/3 occur at lighting lower than the legally prescribed min

Did you know that the first organized initiative for reducing

CO emissions began with a lamp?2

This is, of course, logical considering that lighting in compa -

nies and households produces enormous CO2 emissions.

This has also been confirmed by research of the Interna-

tional Energy Agency (IEA) that stated the following findings

regarding lighting efficiency:

• 19% of global electrical energy is used for lighting. That

is more than is produced by all hydro and nuclear power

plants and the same as the electrical energy produced

from natural gas,

• CO2 emissions produced by lighting account for 70%

of the global motor vehicles CO2 emissions and three

times more than the emissions produced by air traffic.

We provide a sustainable solution for industrial

lighting with reduced CO2 emissions.

of CO2 emissions on a yearly basis, corresponding

to yearly emissions of 23 000 cars or a city with

®beLine heavy industry LED lamp

The fast development of LED technology in the 21st century

has allowed us to develop a new type of heavy industry LED

lamp. The beLine® lamp is designed to resist extreme condi-

tions that are usual in heavy industry. We developed our own

LED driver with the latest half-switching technology without

ferrite elements and with dry capacitors to achieve the long

lifespan and high lighting efficiency of beLine® lamps.

PIR presence sensor The ILCS system was developed especially for warehouses

and is equipped with a PIR presence sensor integrated in

each lamp, allowing complete automatisation of beLine®

lamps. The lamp thus automatically adjusts the lighting level

to the presence of the staff.
