ServSafe® part icipant s who score 75% or above on t he exam become cert ified and are qualified t o become inst ruct ors of food handlers. An added bonus is t hat , under t he new code, t his cert ificat ion may be able t o lower your risk assessment score, which may result in fewer visit s from your Count y Healt h Sanitarian. ServSafe® is a nationally recognized course developed by the National Restaurant Associat ion as a comprehensive treatment of the subject of food safety.

Food Safety Managers who are not cert ified by an accredited Food Safety Course. The Colorado Retail Food Establishment Rules and Regulat ions state that a manager needs to be on hand who has passed a cert ified food safety program.

ServSafe® part icipants who score 75% or above on the exam become cert ified and are qualified to become instructors of food handlers. Part icipants who score 90% or above become cert ified and are eligible to become ServSafe® Cert ificat ion Instructors. 1. Full-day workshop without the textbook

- Cost: $90- Includes full day of instruct ion, exam answer sheet, proctored exam, and lunch.- A great option for those who already have a textbook or for groups of co-workers who share a textbook.

2. ServSafe® online class + proctored exam (Spanish or English)

- Cost: $195 ($125 for the online course + $70 for the proctored exam and exam answer sheet)- Part icipants will register for the ServSafe® online course on the ServSafe® website and complete the

registrat ion form below, select ing the "Proctored Exam with Answer Sheet" option.- A great option for those who want to take the class at their own pace. The proctored exam will be offered at

the end of the workshop on November 14 from 3:00 - 5:00.

3. Spanish online class + proctored exam (Date TBD)

- Cost: $135.- Includes live online instruct ion, textbook, exam answer sheet, and proctored exam.- The best Spanish class option. Part icipants will gather at the Gunnison County Fairgrounds for 2 live online

sessions last ing 4 hours each, then take the proctored exam at a later date.

4. Self-Study

- Cost is $70 for the proctored exam and exam answer sheet or $40 for the proctored exam only - A great option for the most experienced managers who don't need formal instruct ion. Part icipants can order

their own textbook, study independently, and take the proctored exam at the end of class on November 14.
