A change for 2014/2015 This past Thursday marked the official “Change Over” of the board for the Kiwanis Club of Victoria. The meeting was held at the Union Club as in previous years.
Many things will continue on as usual this year, but there is a major change. After 26 years as Club Secretary Will Dunlop has decided to step down from the board. I put my name forward earlier this year and was pleased to find out the board had appointed me as Secretary starting Oct 1.
Will leaves some big shoes to fill and his innate knowledge of what’s happened and what needs to happen will take me some time to figure out. Occasionally I may have to ask for your patience while I figure things out.
Ken Humble mentioned in his remarks at our meeting that membership growth will be a priority. My goal as club secretary will be to support Ken and the club in whatever way I can.
Another change, in case you hadn’t noticed, The Bulletin has received its first major overhaul in about a decade. Let me know what you think!
I look forward to being of service to you this year!
2014/2015 Club Secretary Carla Cacovic

Message from the President
It gives me great pleasure to be your President once again. I will do my best to do a good job for the 2014/2015 term.
As in previous years, a huge thank you goes to our previous years board of directors for their time and commitment in running this club.
Each year we strive to work on improving our profile in the community and this year will be no different.
Our main priority should be to grow our numbers.
Thank you to Harold Blenman, Will Dunlop and Dorothy Slater for their work last year to keep us on track.
2015 marks the 100th Anniversary for Kiwanis International, so lets work to have a great year as part of the celebrations.
We Need Your Help The board for 2014/2015 would like to hear your ideas for club projects. Our motto is we build and that’s just what we would like to do this year.
Do you have an idea for a project that would benefit the community at large?
• A playground? • A gazebo? • A ………?
Please email your ideas to [email protected] or provide them in writing to Carla Cacovic, Club Secretary (can be left at Kiwanis Village office for pick-up). All ideas will be reviewed by the board and then presented to the club for discussion and voting.
