September 25, 2018
A regular meeting of the City of Hopkinsville Code of Ordinance Enforcement Board was held Tuesday,September 25, 2018 at 5:45 p.m. in the Council Conference Room of the Hopkinsville Municipal Center.Chairman Rodney Davis presided at the meeting and asked for roll call. Those present were:

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:Mr. Davis led all members present in the Pledge of Allegiance.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
Mr. Green moved to approve the minutes of the September 11, 2018 regular meeting. The motion wasseconded by Ms. Ferguson. All committee members present voted aye. The motion passed.

Cameron Sumner presented the City’s case on the property.
Property owner, Carole F. Souder, was not present.
Mr. Bruce moved that the violation existed. The motion was seconded by Mr. Green. All
committee members present voted aye. The motion passed.
Mr. Bruce moved to have the City demolish the property and to issue a final order in the amountof $250.00 plus a $50.00 administrative fee. The motion was seconded by Ms. Ferguson. Allcommittee members present voted aye. The motion passed.

by Mr. Brooks. All committee members present voted aye. The motion passed.

ANNOUNCEMENTS FROM MEMBERS OR STAFF:Mr. Brooks requested that the board give precedence to the property owners who come to the hearingbefore we proceed with the agenda. The board agreed.
Mr. Howell requested that the City Attorney go back to City Council and request more lenience on thetines for Unsafe Structures. All board members agreed. Chairman Davis advised that he would bring thatup at the next meeting to the City Attorney.

NOTICE OF CONTINUANCE
Pursuant to your request, a continuance is hereby granted regarding the September 11, 2018appearance for the public hearing before the Code of Ordinance Enforcement Board at 715 S VirginiaStreet, Hopkinsville Municipal Building, Council Chambers Room #148 until October 9,2018. This hearingis concerning the violation of code (section(s) 93.03), which is more particularly as follows - PropertyStandards: Garbage, Trash, and Weeds at Grimes Ave Vacant.
The Board will receive evidence at the public hearing and will make such findings of fact andconclusions of law as are supported by the evidence pertaining to the matters alleged in the citation.During the hearing, you will have the opportunity to testify, to present witnesses, and to cross-examine any witnesses who may testify against you.
