HD Squeeze PackerC O M P R E S S I O N

Operation:

Tacticals HD Compression Squeeze Packer is used for high pressure production testing, squeezing cementing, acidizing and fracturing. The HD Compression Squeeze Packer has an integral by-pass system that allows circulation around the tool to remove cement and debris from the well.

The HD CS Packer is used with the TS-U Bridge Plug for multiple zone operations.

Squeeze PackerT E N S I O N

Operation:

Tacticals Tension Squeeze Packer is a full bore tension set packer that holds pressure from above and below. It is used where sufficient tubing weight is not available to achieve pack off with compression set squeeze packers.

The Tension Packer is used for squeeze cementing operations, casing testing, formation fracturing and high pressure acidizing.

It is run in conjunction with the SC Unloader which allows circulation around the tool and equalizes tubing and annulus pressures during retrieving.

J-TRACKTENSION SQUEEZE PACKER

Operation:

Tactical offers the upgraded J Track full bore tension squeeze packer that holds pressure from above and below. The SC-2 unloader is run in tandem with the squeeze packer and is used where sufficient tubing weight is not available to achieve pack off with compression set squeeze packers.

The NEW J-Track design allows for the squeeze packer to be run in tandem with either a Right-Hand or Left-Hand Set TITAN Retrievable Bridge Plug and most other plugs.

Additional improvements have been made to the J-Track Tension Squeeze Packer such as the drag block and gauge ring change out.

SC Unloader

Operation:

The SC Unloader is a tension set unloader usually run above the Tension Squeeze Packer to equalize tubing and annulus pressure differentials. With the heavy duty collet the SC Unloader can be left in the open position allowing fluid to pass while running, retrieving and preventing the packer elements from swabbing.

MC Valve

Operation:

The MC Valve is used with the Casing Packer to cement liner strings into the well bore or open hole. The Casing Packer is set in compression allowing the MC Valve to shear at a pre determined valve, opening the cementing ports. The cementing ports are closed by picking up on the casing string.

Pump Out Cement Sleeve

Operation:

The Pump Out Cementing Sleeve is used for cementing liner strings in the well bore and run above the Casing Packer. The Pump Out Cementing Sleeve is run above the Casing Packer.

When the Casing Packer is set in (Tension or Compression) the Pump Out Cementing Sleeve is activated by gravitating a ball into the lower seat causing applied pressure shifts and opens port holes for cementing.

After the cementing operation is completed, the wiper plug is pumped into the upper seat and pressure is applied to shift the closing sleeve over the port holes. Final pressure of 2,500 PSI will pump out all internal parts of the Pump Out Cementing Sleeve.

"MST" Mechanical Sett ing Tool

Operation:

The MST is designed to run and set the Polar Cement Retainers in tubing. In addition to the setting function the Retainer Mechanical Setting Tool will operate the retainer sleeve valve once the retainer is set.

Running the MST / Retainer combination assembly at a moderate rate of speed while preventing right-hand rotation will transmit to the setting tool. It is recommended that the tubing be rotated left every 10 stands until positive resistance is felt.

When the desired setting depth has been reached pull the assembly two feet above the desired setting point. Rotate the tubing to the right sufficiently to transmit 10 turns to the setting assembly.

Lower the setting assembly downward to the desired setting point. Proceed to pull the recommended tension above string weight, setting the slips and creating a pack off (as recommended in the setting chart below).

Slack off the equivalent amount of weight onto the assembly and again apply recommended tension. The retainer is now set and pressure testing may be performed. The setting tool may be released from the cement retainer by pulling 500 lbs. tension over the string weight and rotating the tubing 10 turns right. The setting tool may be re latched to the cement retainer by slacking off 1,000 lbs. string weight and snapped out by applying 5,000 lbs. of tension. The snap out forces will decrease after repeated usage and will stabilize at 2,508 lbs.

The tension sleeve valve is opened with downward motion (COMPRESSION) and closed with upward motion (TENSION). Two inches of travel from closed to open position.
