P God of all mercy and consolation, come to the help of your people , turning us from our sin to live for you alone. Give us the power of your Holy Spirit that we may confess our sin, receive your forgiveness, and grow into the fullness of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord.,

Let us confess our sin in the presence of God and of one another.

P Most merciful God, C we confess that we are captive to sin and cannot free ourselves.

We have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. For the sake of your Son, Jesus Christ, have mercy on us. Forgive us, renew us, and lead us, so that we may delight in your will and walk in your ways, to the glory of your holy name. Amen.

P In the mercy of almighty God, Jesus Christ was given to die for us, and for his sake God forgives us all our sins. As a called and ordained min-ister of the church of Christ, and by his authority, I therefore declare to you the entire forgiveness of all your sins, in the name of the Father, and of the ☩ Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

PRAYER OF THE DAY P O God, C you made us in your own image and redeemed us through Jesus

your Son. Look with compassion on the whole human family; take away the arrogance and hatred that infect our hearts; break down the walls that separate us; unite us in bonds of love; and, through our struggle and confusion, work to accomplish your purposes on earth; so that, in your good time, every people and nation may serve you in harmony around your heavenly throne; through Je-sus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen.

A Reading from Lamentations 3:1-3, 17-32 I am one who has seen affliction under the rod of God's wrath; 2he has dri-ven and brought me into darkness without any light; 3against me alone he turns his hand, again and again, all day long. 17my soul is bereft of peace; I have forgotten what happiness is; 18so I say, "Gone is my glory, and all that I had hoped for from the LORD." 19The thought of my affliction and my homelessness is wormwood and gall! 20My soul continually thinks of it and is bowed down within me. 21But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: 22The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; 23they are new every morning; great is your faithful-ness. 24"The LORD is my portion," says my soul, "therefore I will hope in him." 25The LORD is good to those who wait for him, to the soul that seeks him. 26It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD. 27It is good for one to bear the yoke in youth, 28to sit alone in silence when the LORD has imposed it, 29to put one's mouth to the dust (there may yet be hope), 30to give one's cheek to the smiter, and be filled with insults. 31For the LORD will not reject forever. 32Although he causes grief, he will have compassion according to the abundance of his steadfast love.

Lamentations 5:1-3, 17-22: 1Remember, O LORD, what has befallen us; look, and see our disgrace! 2Our inheritance has been turned over to strangers, our homes to aliens. 3We have become orphans, fatherless; our mothers are like widows.

17Because of this our hearts are sick, because of these things our eyes have grown dim: 18because of Mount Zion, which lies desolate; jackals prowl over it. 19But you, O LORD, reign forever; your throne endures to all generations. 20Why have you forgotten us completely? Why have you forsaken us these many days? 21Restore us to yourself, O LORD, that we may be restored; renew our days as of old — 22unless you have utterly rejected us, and are angry with us beyond measure.

APOSTLES CREED I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, God's only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,

born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried;

he descended into hell. On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven,

he is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins,

the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.

way through life with the words of your Son. Give us the light we need, awaken us to the needs of others, and at the end bring all the world to your feast; through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, to whom, with you and the Holy Spirit, be honor and glory forever.

Please hold Tuesday evening, June 30, from 7 to 8:30 PM, available for an online gathering with hundreds from across southern and northern Nevada as Nevadans for the Common Good hosts an event to respond to the recent listening campaign We plan to ask for specific action from our elected offcials to address (1) what happens to renters when the eviction moratorium is lifted, and (2) how our already underfunded K-through-adult public education system may be impacted by reduced state funding. YOU can participate in this gathering in the comfort of your own home via an online Zoom meeting, and we’d like to impress the governor with as many participants as possible. For the past three months, LSSN has been serving hundreds of families each week through our Emergency DigiMart Distributions in response to COVID-19. Now we are excited to announce that we are able to accept volunteers! If you are looking for a way to serve others and make a big impact in our community, we would love to have your help.
