SUMMARY:Installs, maintains, and repairs Safan pressbrakes, shears and Mazak laser cutting machines , equipment, physical structures, and hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, and electrical systems in commercial or industrial establishments by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Visually inspects, installs and tests machinery and equipment. Discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other
maintenance technicians, to diagnose problem or repair machine. Dismantles defective machines/equipment and installs new or repaired
parts. Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of
machinery. Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and
wiring. Installs and repairs electrical and electronic components of machinery
and equipment. Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related
hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related
equipment. Installs, programs or repairs automated machinery and equipment, such
as robots or programmable controllers, and computer numerical controls.
QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:High school diploma or equivalent, 2 years shop experience, 2 years Associate Degree in technical program, experience as service technician.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: English, russian and one or more of the Baltic local languages.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work requires lifting, crawling under machines. Extensive travel required, and may require Saturday/Sunday work. Technician is on an On-Call Basis.
