Using Server Side Recording Server Side Recording_v2 January 7, 2014 Page 1 of 8 Server Side Recording (SSR) is a recording done remotely from the perspective of an “invisible” student/attendee. However, we have “enhanced” this invisible student’s experience by automating some of the zooming capabilities of the panes and scrolling of windows to match the actions taken by the Presenter. For example, if the Presenter zooms in/out on any pane, that is mirrored in the recording. Likewise, if the Presenter scrolls the Attendee List, Chat History or Whiteboard, that is also mirrored in the recording. What’s Included in Server Recording? ! All Audio ! Pane 1: Video Streaming, Prerecord Video and Audio files ! Pane 2: Presentations, Documents and Desktop Sharing ! Pane 3: Image Thumbnails and notes added to the Noteboard ! Pane 4: Whiteboard ! Right Side Bar: Attendee Window, Text Chat, and Attachments Note: When using Desktop Sharing you will experience a little delay while Java loads to allow for its access. You can expect 30 seconds to 1 minute depending upon your internet speed. Also, as the Presenter, you will need to maximize Pane 2 for the recording to play back in full size. How do I record? Using a Mac? Use Safari if you will be using Desktop Sharing during your meeting. If not, you can record with Chrome, Firefox, or Safari. Using a PC? Use Chrome, Firefox, or Internet Explorer Step 1: In the Presenter’s Dashboard, click the green circle to start the recording.
