We are born wanting, desiring, envying, and comparing. Jealousy is a deep suspicion or negativity towards what another has, and envy is a frustration or sadness that we have for not possessing something. To some extent we will use both words interchangeably in this week's study. In an Instagram world, the soul is fertile ground for comparison and therefor jealousy. Entire marketing strategies of products revolve around you feeling envy or jealousy and this can lead to unhealthy hearts. In Psalm 73 Asaph outlines the effects of jealousy and how it pulls our attention away from God. 1) The solution to jealousy is to have your vision filled with Jesus and to look at him with clear eyes. Psalm 73: 23-25. 2) Stop coveting today. What God has given you today is enough for you to fulfil his purpose for you today. 3) Imitate Jesus. "If God has given me this, what do I do with it?"
