We are excited to introduce the new look of our newsletter! We thought it was time for a change, and yes, we have undergone a ravishing makeover.

In the first quarter of 2019, there was a lot of interesting events and activities being held in our award-winning township.

One of the notable ones being the ground-breaking ceremony of Seri Austin’s Camellia Residence. Camellia Residence is set to challenge industry norms by creating quality affordable apartments which also carries elements of sustainable and conducive township with its clean façade, entrance statement, 24-hour manned guard house and linear parks to name a few.

We continued sustainability efforts, recognised with Best Green Initiative at SOBA 2018 by The Star. We care for the environment by supporting and participating in green activities such as JB Car Free Day.

23 February 2019 - UMLand Seri Austin launched Camellia Residence, an affordable residential apartment in conjunction with Chap Goh Mei Celebration 2019.

The launch officiated by the Johor EXCO of Public Works, Infrastructure and Transportation, YB Tuan Haji Mazlan Bin Bujang. Also attending were YB Dato’ Hj Amran A. Rahman (Datuk Bandar MBJB), YB Steven Choong (Member of Parliament Tebrau), Mr. Rajpal Singh (Consulate General of Singapore), Encik Azhar Bin Omar (State Vice President of TM Berhad Johor) and ASP Tuan Mazlan Morshidi, (Police Head of Balai Polis Bandar Dato’ Onn) and Master Sandy Paw (Feng Shui Master).

With a gross development value (GDV) of approximately RM89mil, Camellia Residence is a freehold project comprising two 20-storey residential towers with a total of 300 units. It is a golden opportunity for first time homebuyers, young couples and fresh graduates to own a property of their own in this conducive township.

Facilities include 2 designated roofed car park for each unit, the half olympic length swimming pool, children’s wading pool, a multipurpose hall, 24 hours security and a generous expanse of green space as well as the viewing deck to encourage healthy outdoor activities.

2 February 2019 - Seri Austin participated in JB Wake Up! Car Free Day in conjunction with the Launch of Zero Miles Sculpture and Zero Miles Run organised by Johor Bahru City Council (MBJB). The event officiated by YB Tan Hong Pin, Executive Chairman of Local Government, Science and Technology

together with Datuk Bandar MBJB.

Seri Austin was also recognised as Prest igious Developer who c o n t i n u o u s l y s u p p o r t a n d participate towards m a k i n g J o h o r Bahru a low carbon emitting society.

17 January 2019 - Seri Austin bagged Gold Award for Best Green Initiative category at the Star Outstanding Business Award (SOBA) 2018. The township was recognised to it’s continuous Green Efforts through active participation portrayed in activities and policies towards environmental awareness and greener environment.

The award was presented by the guest of honour, International Trade and Industry Ministry Secretary General, Datuk Isham Ishak.

29 January 2019 - Seri Austin recently threw an early Chinese New Year celebration at the Hillville Aged Care Home in Taman Ponderosa, Johor Bahru as part of the annual Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.

30 staffs volunteered to take their time off from their desk job to mingle and engage with the elders.

A contribution of RM5,000 was handed over to Ms Leong Mee York, the Home’s Manager in support of their daily operations and necessities together with mandarin oranges which considered as traditional symbols of abundance and good fortune, were given to everyone.

“We are committed to inculcate the spirit of community service and strengthen the values of generosity and solidarity among our employees via this community based initiatives,” said KK Wong, Group Director of UMLand Townships cum CEO of Seri Austin.

Hillville Aged Care Home is home to 70 senior citizens aged from 60 to 90 years with various health issues including Alzheimer and wheel chair bound.

23 March 2019 - The Angel Duathlon Race, run-bike-run endurance race organised by Happy Riders Connect was successfully held at Seri Austin with participation from 60 children aged 2 to 7 years old.

Speaking at the prize giving ceremony, Group Director of UMLand Townships cum CEO of Seri Austin KK Wong said, “We are actively supports community sporting events such as Angel Duathlon Race as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility effort. It is part of our commitment to sustain a steady growth of a Duathlete Community in Malaysia from a young age.”

UMLand Southern CNY Media Lunch14 February 2019 - 30 of Johor Media representatives were present at the UMLand Southern Chinese New Year Media Lunch held at the Amari Hotel, Johor Bahru. The casual get together was held to commemorate the Lunar New Year Celebrations by the Chinese community and also to mingle and connect with the local media representatives. The event received participation from various media including print, online and bloggers.

At the same event, KK Wong, Group Director of UMLand Townships cum CEO of Seri Austin announced the upcoming launch of a new development in Taman Seri Austin, an affordable Residential Apartment - Camellia Residence. A cheque of RM3,000.00 was handed over to Sherun Old Folks Home as part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility efforts in the spirits of giving during the festive season.
