Sere lies at an altitude of 129 metres (423ft)above sea leveland
covers an area of 30.454 square kilometres (11.8sqmi).It is located
in theDanubian Lowlandon the Vhriver, around 20 kilometres (12mi)
south-east ofTrnava.

The historically most important building is the Esterhzy
manor-house (castle) which is located on the site of the once
famous medieval water-castle ofSempte. The manor-house was built in
1840 in classicist style; it was later altered in empire style. The
