CNC Machining

While we can machine almost any material, SMS specializes in high-precision titanium and specialty alloy components. Our 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC machining services combined with EDM capabilities ensure that you receive the best in service and quality, whether you require precision parts, rapid turnaround, or have close tolerance needs. With our CNC machining, we provide CNC milling, turning, and grinding to accommodate a wide range of projects.

General Machining

SMS has the in-house talent and machinery to handle your general machining needs. Our machinists (including tool and die makers) are dedicated to providing you with superior precision and general machining service. // CABLE MANUFACTURINGSMS possesses a wide range of equipment necessary to produce high-quality custom cables for our customer’s particular needs. We have been producing specialty telemetry and power transmission cables for over 30 years. We produce individual jacketed conductors, twisted pairs and quads, airgun umbilicals and lead-in cables, or complex multi component cables using our planetary cabling equipment. Other specialty equipment includes taping heads, braiding lines, printing heads, and other equipment required for manufacturing cable products. We also offer standard and waterproof cable termination capabilities.

SMS specializes in providing electromechanical contract manufacturing services to its customers. Over the past 20 years we have built millions of high performance, cost effective sealed hydrophones for our customers. Our services include circuit board installation, flex circuit assembly and electromechanical assembly and testing. We manufacture using customer consigned material, as well as full turnkey where SMS procures, inspects and kits the raw material. SMS builds quality into every product we manufacture. To ensure we meet our customer’s needs we can build to the following standards: IPC610A, UL, CSA and ROHS.
