Wednesday Night Study Begins September 11 On Wednesday night, September 11, we are going to begin a 12-week study to help us discover God’s plan for the future of First Chrisan Church. Bring some takeout to Disciples Hall at 5:30 pm, and join us for the study from 6:00 pm to 6:50 pm. First, we will study the subject of hope itself by looking at an arcle by Walter Bruggemann en- tled: The Company of the Unafraid. You can find the enre arcle here: hps://sojo.net/magazine/ july-2019/company-unafraid. Then, we will study a book called Shiſt: Three Big Moves for the 21st Century Church by Mark Tidsworth. The book can be ordered here: hps://www.amazon.com/Shiſt-Three-Moves-Century- Church/dp/1517694337. There is a small group curriculum that accompanies this book that we will be using. There’s at least one copy in our church’s Library. FCC Annual Ice Cream Social Dust off those ice cream freezers and make your specialty “flavor” to share with your family at FCC on Sunday evening, September 8, at 5:00 pm! We hope to have “extra” to share on Monday with our “extended family” at Hope Campus, so please sign up on the sheets in the Narthex indicang that you will bring ice cream and/or cookies, brownies, or cup- cakes. Membership Ministry is counng on all of you to help us kick off the new year! Ginger Hamm Youth Fellowship Youth Fellowship will resume Sunday, September 8, at 5:00 pm. We will have a short meeng and then will enjoy ice cream. Jubilaon Bells rehearsal will resume on September 15 at 5:00 pm. Again this year we are asking for volunteers to provide a small snack meal for the youth. Please contact John Mundy at 479-222- 3401 or Marilyn Maxey at 479-883-0229 if you can help. BREAD BAKING CLASS Please join Trish Allen for a bread making class on Saturday, September 14, at 11:00 am in the Fellowship Hall kitchen. All the bread baked will be given to Hope Campus. The cost is free, and all you will need to bring is a stand mixer. If you don’t have a stand mixer, come anyway. We can always share. In order to have enough ingredients, reservaons will need to be made by calling the church office no later than Wednesday, September 11. Also, let the office know if you will be bringing a mixer. Please join us for this wonderful opportunity for fellowship and providing for the homeless in our community.

Wednesday Night Study Begins September 11

FCC Book Club Resumes Soon

FCC Book Club will start meeting again in September. It will meet on Tuesday, September 17, at 10:00 am in the Barton Stone Room. We will discuss the book Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens. There is a copy in the Church Library.
