1. Daniel Weber, Jordan Marina Dan started coming to the area at the age of 5 years. He graduated Milwaukee School of Engineering in 1990 and worked as a Nuclear Plant Engineer for 10 years. In 2000, he bought Jordan Marina, which he operates today. Dan and his wife Denise have been married for 20 years and have three children: Jordan, Jessica, and Amber. He has been President of the Lake Norfork Chamber for the last 10 years. 2. Jackie Conner, Conner Family Funeral Home & Cremation Center, High Country Motors, High Country Apartments Jackie Conner and her husband John are the co-owners of three area businesses, Conner Family Funeral Home & Cremation Center, High Country Motors and High Country Apartments. She has also owned two other successful businesses in Mountain Home. She is a Moun- tain Home native, a business college graduate and is a licensed funer- al director. Jackie looks forward to bringing the perspective of the small business owner to the Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce. 3. ago, Chad has been instrumental in leading a local team of profes-

ment Community for individuals age 55 and older who support

creating an environment where individuals feel loved, valued, and at

peace. He continues to support economic development within the

community and is excited about the potential for the community in

8. Tom Kiley, Kirby & Family Funeral & CremationServicesTom Kiley was raised on his family’s dairy farmand graduated with degrees from both College ofthe Ozarks and ASU-MH. Tom’s a member of FirstUnited Methodist Church, Rotary, and Twin LakesFuture Fund Board. He volunteers with the FoodBank of North Central Arkansas and is Co-Chair-person for Bridge Bash.

Heather Loftis, KTLOAfter graduating from the University of CentralArkansas, I spent 10 years working in healthcarephilanthropy, first for Arkansas Children’s Hospi-tal, then moving back home to be a part of BaxterRegional Hospital Foundation.  I joined KTLO,Classic Hits and the Boot in 2008 as their SalesManager.My husband Chris and I will be opening Book-worms Café at the Library in January 2017. Wehave two children, Mia and Zane. 10. Christy Keirn, Director of Communications andInstitutional Advancement, ASUMHChristy Keirn is Director of Communications andInstitutional Advancement at Arkansas State Uni-versity-Mountain Home. In that role, Christy isresponsible for oversight of marketing and publicrelations for the college; community educationcourses; fundraising; and special events at theVada Sheid Community Development Center.She serves as a member of the Performing ArtsCouncil and the Higher Learning CommissionSteering Committee for ASUMH.

11. Gregory Wood, Hospice of the OzarksGreg serves as the Executive Director for Hospiceof the Ozarks. He is a member of the MountainHome (MH) Rotary Club and also serves on theboard of directors for MH Kindness, Inc., and theState of Arkansas Hospice & National Hospice Or-ganizations. Greg is married to Jenny for past 31years and has two adult sons.

This year’s Chamber banquet will honor thosewho are an inspiration to the community and acredit to their profession. The Chamber Banquettheme for 2016 is “A Black & White CommunityGala.” Nominations and Winners are listed be-low.

The event will be held at The Sheid on Friday, Oc-tober 28 from 6:00-8:00 pm. Tickets cost $30.00per person or you may reserve a table of 8 for$300.00. Your ticket will include dinner (salad,steaks/chicken, potatoes, vegetable, and dessert).

Adult beverages, tea and water will also be available aspart of your purchase price.

Outstanding Business or Industry: The OutstandingBusiness Award recognizes a local, for-profit entity. Thisaward recognizes businesses that bring recognition to theTwin Lakes Area because of the commitment made to ourcitizens. The business of the year is a role model for oth-er businesses andconducts itself in a fair and ethical manner.Nominations included American Stitchco, Twin LakesPlumbing, KTLO, VisionAmp Marketing, Harp’s Grocery,and Ty Chapman Construction. The winner is American

Stitchco.

Outstanding Organization: The Outstanding Orga-nization Award recognizes a local not-for-profit or-ganization. The recipient is selected for itscommitment to serve those in the area. Theorganization excels in putting service above self byserving others in our communities. This outstand-ing organization provides benefits that are an in-valuable asset and serve as a model for otherorganizations. Nominees included Mountain HomeLion’s Club, Mountain Home Rotary Club, Serenity,Inc. Christian Clinic, Pregnancy Resource Center,Mountain Home Education Foundation, The Salva-

tion Army of Mountain Home, Good Samaritan Society-Mountain Home. The winner is the Christian Clinic.

Educator of the Year (includes Workforce Development,etc.): The Educator of the Year award recognizes a localindividual. This person is dedicated but is also pro-active inassuring that the educational needs of his/her studentsare met. Nominees included Dr. Jake Long (Superinten-dent Mountain Home Public Schools), Dale Query (for Su-perintendent Flippin Public Schools), Karen Heslep (Deanof the College of Business and Technology)Janet Wood (MHPS), Wayne Camp, Camp Real Estate

School. Thewinner is Dr.

Medical Professional ofthe Year: The MedicalProfessional of the Year honors a unique,respected individual who has given unselfishly of his/herself to promote the best possiblehealthcare to persons of the Twin Lakes Area. CHRISTMAS PARADE SCHEDULED FORFRIDAY, DECEMBER 2, 2016 AT

6:00 PM

The Chamber’s annual Christmas Parade will be Fri-day, December 2, 2016 at 6:00 pm. The theme willbe “Christmas in Candy Land.” Immediately preced-ing the parade, the annual tree-lighting service andmusic on the downtown square will take place.

forms; line-up in-structions are avail-able at the Chamberand listed below.Judging will take place BEFORE the parade begins.Performance floats and participants, please stop infront of the square to perform. Floats will be judgedunder four categories; Civic, Commercial, Religiousand Youth and will receive ribbons to display duringthe procession.

PARADE INSTRUCTIONS:

LINE UP is between 4:30 -6 pm. Parade starts at 6pm.

ALL PARADE ENTRIES will enter off of Hwy 178 andturn onto Bucher Drive. Keep Hospital Drive CLEARfor any medical emergencies.

ALL FLOATS will line up on the corner of Burnett &Buttercup. Floats must be CLEARLY marked for judg-ing (preferably on the left side).

ALL CARS, TRACTORS, OTHER VEHICLES (businessvehicles, etc.) will assemble at the corner of Burnett& Beard Street.

FIRE TRUCKS & EMERGENCY VEHICLES line up onMedical Plaza.

MARCHING BANDS and WALKERS will line up in theFirst Security Parking Lot on Hwy 5 and HospitalDrive.

HORSES will enter from Hwy 178 and wait in the lotacross from Cardiovascular Associates lot on Butter-cup.

Please…no other Santas than the Chamber’sSanta at the end of the parade!
