GATHERING MUSIC Organ Hymn Raymond Haan For God alone my soul waits in silence. Psalm 62:1

    WELCOME AND ANNOUNCEMENTS Tai Zimmerman

CALL TO WORSHIP One: In your wisdom, O God, you call us here to worship you. All: Quiet any voices from the world around us that will distract us from

the Word of God. One: You call us to be fully alive with your life abundant, ready to listen and

respond with heart, soul, strength, and mind. All: Quiet our own voices and the busyness of our lives that distract us

from the Word of God. One: For God calls us to always be watchful for Gods Word of wisdom,

sometimes startling and unexpected, sometimes still and quiet, but always dwelling among us.

All: We watch, we listen, and we wait for the Word of God spoken this day.

SOLO Come and Fill Our Hearts #466

CONFESSION Judy Hockenberry Gracious and loving God, we admit that were fearful of stillness and quiet. It seems as if the last thing we want to do is slow down and be attentive to you. Help us not to shy away from quiet times, from the simplicity of prayer, scripture, and your presence. It seems, O God, that, in the busyness of countless invitations, we are afraid to say no. And for all those fears which we cannot name, we come to you, O God. Forgive us and teach us to live into the silence of peace and gratitude. Teach us to still our minds and souls so we can be more attentive to you and those around us. In all times and places, remind us of your constant love and presence so that we can be reassured of the grace so freely given. For it is in this time of silence that we desire to draw closer to you.

MUSICAL RESPONSE Come and Fill Our Hearts #466 Come and fill our hearts with your peace. You alone, O Lord, are holy.

Come and fill our hearts with your peace. Alleluia!

PASSING THE PEACE One: The peace of Jesus Christ be with you. All: And also with you. One: Let us share the peace of Christ with one another.

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE Judy Hockenberry

LORDS PRAYER Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.

SHARING OUR GIFTS Murray, White, Nelson, & Webb

Come and Find the Quiet Center Come and find the quiet center in the crowded life we lead. Find the room for hope to enter.

Find the frame where we are freed. Clear the chaos and the clutter. Clear our eyes that we can see, All the things that really matter. Be at peace and simply be. Silence is a friend who claims us,

Cools the heat and slows the pace. God it is who speaks and names us, knows our being touches base. Making space within our thinking, lifting shades to show the sun, raising courage when

we're shrinking, finding scope for faith begun. In the Spirit let us travel, open to each other's pain. Let our lives and fears unravel, celebrate the space we gain. There's a place for deepest dreaming.

There's a time for heart to care. In the Spirit's lively scheming, there is always room to spare. Chancel Quartet
