MISSION STATEMENT

The Butterfield Park District’s mission is to promote ongoing development of a park system providing recreational

opportunities for all residents. Butterfield Park District strives to offer diversified programs and activities encom-

passing personal enjoyment contributing to self fulfillment and enhancing the quality of life.

PROGRAM REGISTRATION

The Butterfield Park District has an online

registration system for activities, rentals,

camps, and aquatics. The system gives you

the ability to check availability of programs

and special events. You may register online a

www.butterfieldpd.com. Registration is ac-

cepted by fax, mail, or drop off. Phone regis-

tration is NOT accepted. All classes canceled

by the Park District will result in a full refund.

The Park District goal is that each class will

have enough participation to ensure the class

will run. Signing up early as well as encourag-

ing friends will help ensure the program will

run.

Violations of “Behavior Standards” or The

Butterfield Park District’s “Code of Conduct”

may result in the expulsion or suspension

from a specific program or activity. Participa-

tion in behavior that may be construed as in-

appropriate and or inappropriate sexual be-

havior, language or actions may be grounds

for immediate removal from programs, as

well as the potential for legal ramifications.

Such ramifications resulting from violations

will be carefully reviewed and subsequently

administered at the sole discretion of the Ex-

ecutive Director of the Butterfield Park Dis-

trict and may also result in the loss or partial

loss of fees paid. No harassment or bullying

will be tolerated in the programs or services

provided by the Butterfield Park District.

based program designed to meet the

needs of children as they

transition from preschool to kinder-

garten. Proven curriculum materials

portunities for our prekindergarten

a hands on math program, to ensure

the academic foundation critical to

your child's future school success.

LEARNING NEST EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

Planting the Seeds of Lifelong LearningThe Learning Nest Preschool Program incorporates the Illinois State Board of Education

Early Childhood Learning Standards and Jolly Phonics to educate your child. In addition

to nurturing the development of your child’s social and emotional growth, we have put in

place a program that builds a foundation necessary to support your child’s future

academic challenges. Preschool runs continuously throughout the school year, observ-

ing the same holidays and no school day schedule as District 44 (Lombard). Children

must be the appropriate age by September 1. There is a $100 NON REFUNDABLE admin-

istrative fee to register. Preschool tuition is paid in equal monthly payments, based on

the total number of attendance days within the entire school year. Tuition is processed

monthly through auto debit unless other arrangements are made.

This class provides a warm, nurturing

environment and is designed for chil-

dren ages 2 3. Emphasis is on devel-

oping social skills and transitioning

from home to school. Language de-

velopment is supported through daily

activities that include ABC's, count-

ing, story time, games, music & move-

ment, gym or outside time, and arts

and crafts. Individualized "Play &

Learn" Play Dough Mats will be sent

home weekly to reinforce skills and

concepts being introduced in the

classroom.

Note: Parents or loving Caregivers will

be called for diaper changes and must

arrive within 15 minutes of the phone

call from Early Childhood Supervisor.

This program for children 3 4 years

of age, involves a strong balance of

academics and fun. Daily activities

incorporate music and movement,

games arts and crafts into lessons on

letter recognition, reading, math and

science. Our staff recognizes each

child's unique rate of development

and therefore our curriculum focuses

on different levels of ability, individual

needs and learning styles. Student

activities are designed to promote

each child's self esteem and a posi-

tive outlook toward learning, while

striving to instill independence and

responsibility.

By joining the Helping Hand Volunteer program, you will become one of the dedicated individuals providing quality service and improving the quality of life in our community. Share your time with us while making new friends, learning new skills, and having fun!

• Upon receipt of your application, we will send you a volunteer interest form.

• A criminal background check consent form will need to be filled out for any volunteer over the

age of 18.

• Please complete and return both forms to the Butterfield Park District.

• Once the forms are processed, you will be able to start volunteering!

• You will be contacted with final details two weeks prior to the event/program you selected on your

volunteer interest form.
