Are you looking for an opportunity to become involved with community service? Our Community Service Group, We Care, is dedicated to helping our community through volunteer ef-forts. Members of the group can choose to participate in any of the volunteer activities that are available. Below are three upcoming opportunities to serve. Please call Barb or Troy as soon as possible if you are interested. Chester County Day House Tours Saturday, October 1 We are looking for volunteers to be tour guides for the Chester County Day House Tours. It is a great opportunity to explore beautiful homes in Kennett Square, You would only need to sign up for a half-day and will be given a free ticket to enjoy the other homes on the walking tour before or after your shift. If you can help us out, please call or email Barb or Troy. Halloween Bingo at Pocopson Home Monday, October 17, at 2:00 p.m. Volunteers are needed to help the residents play Bingo. If anyone has gently used costume jewelry, small trinkets, small perfume bottles or lotions for women, or cologne or other toi-letries for men to give as prizes, we would appreciate your donations. Kennett Area Senior Center Bazaar Thursday, October 20, at 9:00 a.m. The Bazaar will be held on Saturday, October 22, but help is needed to set up on Thursday, the 20th. They also need do-nations of baked goods to be dropped off at the Center that morning or you can drop the baked goods off at Barb's or Troy's home. The address of the Center is 113 S. Union St. in Kennett Square. One more thing... We Care would like to use our monthly luncheons as a way to help the Kennett Food Cupboard. If you would like to help, please bring canned or boxed nonperisha-ble food items to the luncheon. There will be a designated box. If you are unable to attend a luncheon and would like to con-tribute, you can give your items to a member who is attending. If you have any questions, please call Troy or Barb.
