You are now the wife of a Pastor, ahead of you lies a beautiful life of ser- vice. I believe you have entered into one of the most pleasant and challeng- ing experiences of life. It is true that you will face some problems but all women face problems in life. God never promised us a life without prob- lems, but He did promise strength and grace for each one of us. People will observe everything you do. Know that you are an example and recognize they are imitating you. There was a special day when you gave your heart and life to Christ and you promised to live in complete obe- dience to Him. You fell in love with a servant of God, a preacher, and loving him includes standing by him in min- istry. The calling that your husband has re- ceived is a great honor. God has cho- sen both of you to fulfill His commis- sion. He is not working for the gov- ernment, nor is he a constructor of buildings, or any other vocation. To- gether, you are working in order to bring men, women, youth and children to a closer relationship with God. To love God and your husband means facing the challenges together and sharing the same vision of ministry. We must make a very strong effort to be supportive, our attitude makes a difference. If you are mindful of the seriousness of your calling, and clearly understand the objectives, I am sure that you will not complain about life. Remain close to God and you will know the Greetings ladies! We are so grateful for the mighty move of the Holy Spirit at our first WTAP District Women’s Convention. We witnessed such a hunger for God and we are certain that the lives of women were transformed and liberated. Our District leaders did an amazing job and we sincerely thank them. We pray that the Holy Spirit continue to empower them as they minister to the lives of girls and women in our District, training them to reach others for the Kingdom of God. We declare God’s favor and Blessings upon their lives, families and ministries. value of being more spiritual than ma- terialistic. God said if we draw close to Him, He will draw close to us. (James 4:8) Your husband the preacher, also needs to hear encouraging words from you. Remember, your husband is the Pastor. When church people or others come for advise, remember you are not the pastor, you are his wife. If you are asked for an opinion, do so, but never take control of the conversation. Don’t try to make the decisions that the Pas- tor, your husband should make. Pray for him and have confidence in him. Assure him that you desire the best for him. Set your eyes on God and He will guide you both everyday. I have prayed that God will help you to find joy and contentment in serving Him. Remain by his side and continue to love God and your husband. I praise God for His mercy, His love, His grace, His strength, and His power that He gave me in the 45 years we pastored. Tests of Decision Making Scriptural Test: Has God already spo- ken it in His Word? “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness: II Tim. 3:16 Secrecy Test: Would it bother me if everyone knew this was my choice? “The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity.” Pro. 11:3 Survey Test: What if everyone followed my example? “Set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.” I Tim. 4:12 Spiritual Test: Am I being people- pressured or Spirit-led? “Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ.” Stumbling Test: Could this cause an- other person to stumble? “It is better not to eat meat or drink wine or to do anything else that will cause your brother to fall. Rom. 14:21 Serenity Test: Have I prayed and re- ceived peace about this decision? Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. How can the wife of a

Pastor help the success

of her husband? You

are now the wife of a

Pastor, ahead of you lies

a beautiful life of ser-

vice. I believe you have entered into

one of the most pleasant and challeng-

ing experiences of life. It is true that

you will face some problems but all

women face problems in life. God

never promised us a life without prob-

lems, but He did promise strength and

grace for each one of us.

People will observe everything you

do. Know that you are an example

and recognize they are imitating you.

There was a special day when you

gave your heart and life to Christ and

you promised to live in complete obe-

dience to Him. You fell in love with a

servant of God, a preacher, and loving

istry.

Remember, your husband is the Pastor.

pastor, you are his wife. If you are

asked for an opinion, do so, but never

take control of the conversation. Don’t

try to make the decisions that the Pas-

tor, your husband should make.

Pray for him and have confidence in

him. Assure him that you desire the

best for him. Set your eyes on God

and He will guide you both everyday.

I have prayed that God will help you to

un pastor puede ayudar el

éxito de su esposo? Usted

es ahora una esposa de Pas-

tor. Tiene por delante una

hermosa vida de servicio.

Creo que usted ha entrado a

una de las mas agradables y desafiantes

experiencias de la vida. Es verdad que

usted tendrá problemas, pero toda mujer

tiene problemas. Dios nunca prometió

una vida sin problemas, pero si prometió

Su fuerza y gracia adecuada para cada una

de nosotras.

En verdad la gente le observara a usted en

todo lo que hace, mucho mas que a otras

mujeres. Un día usted entrego su vida a

Cristo y le prometió vivir en obediencia a

El. Luego se enamoro de un ministro de

Dios y prometió que se esforzaría ayudar-

le a cumplir las responsabilidades que

Dios había depositado en el.

El llamamiento de su esposo es un gran

honor y Dios la escogió a usted también,

para hacer una tarea muy importante. Su

llamado es también una gran responsabili-

dad. Su esposo no trabaja en algún oficio

del gobierno, no es un constructor de edi-

ficios, ni trabaja con el mismo material.

Están tratando con valores eternos. El tra-

baja para traer hombres, mujeres, jóvenes,

niños a una relación mas cercana con

Dios. Sin salvación ellos nunca podrán

llegar al cielo. Si usted ama a Dios y a su

esposo, sentirá el desafío de la obra y se

esforzara ser ayuda en todo lo que pueda.

Recuerde que su actitud hacia el llama-

miento de Dios es muy importante. Si

usted conserva la seriedad de este llama-

miento y los objetivos de su ministerio,

claramente estoy segura, que nunca se

quejara de la vida.

Saludes mis hermanas!

Estamos tan agradecidos por el movimiento del Espíritu Santo en nuestro primer

Convención Femenil Distrital. Atestiguamos hambre espiritual y estamos seguros

que las vidas de mujeres fueron transformadas y liberadas. Nuestras líderes

Distrital hicieron un trabajo excelente y debemos sostenerlas continuamente en

oración mientras van avanzando, dirigidas por el Espíritu Santo. Nuestras hermanas tienen una pasión para

ministrar y edificar las vidas de mujeres y niñas en nuestro Distrito. Su trabajo es grande y

declaramos el favor de Dios, y bendiciones sobre

ellas, sus familias y ministerios.

Manténgase cerca de Dios y conocerá la im-

portancia de ser mas espiritual que material.

Si estamos en un buen estado espiritual, Dios

nos puede ayudar a salir victoriosos. Si no

oramos a Dios y leemos Su Palabra todos los

días, nos debilitamos y es fácil tener lastima a

nosotras mismas. Dios nos ha dicho que si

nosotros nos acercamos mas a El, El se acer-

cara a nosotros. (Santiago 4:8) Tome tiempo

todo los días para acercarse a Dios.

Su esposo es el predicador, pero también el

necesita palabras de estimulo y animo mas

que cualquier otra cosa que usted puede hacer.

Recuerde otra cosa, que su esposo es el Pas-

tor. Cuando la gente de la Iglesia o de la co-

munidad, venga con problemas o consejo, re-

cuerde que usted no es el Pastor, usted es la

esposa del Pastor. Si le piden su opinión esta

bien, pero no tome la dirección de la conver-

sación. No trate de hacer las decisiones que le

toca a su esposo. Ore por el y tenga confianza

en el. Que el reconozca que usted desea lo

mejor para el. Ponga sus ojos en Dios e El le

guiara día tras día.

He orado que Dios le ayude a encontrar gozo

y satisfacción mientras juntos ministran. Ame

a Dios y a su esposo. Yo alabo a Dios por Su

misericordia, Su amor, Su gracia, Su fortaleza,

y por grandes triunfos que Dios nos dio du-

rante los 45 anos que servimos como pasto-

res.. Así que hermanas cuanto les amo.

“...estad firmes y constantes, sabiendo que

vuestro trabajo en el Señor no es en vano.” (I

Cor. 15:58) Mis Salmos favoritos son: 16; 18;

23; 25; 27; 34; y 46. Que Dios les bendiga!

Pruebas de Decisiones. Prueba Bíblica: ¿lo ha dicho ya Dios en Su Palabra? II Tim 3:16Toda la Escritura es inspirada

prender, para corregir y para instruir en

la justicia,

Prueba de Secreto: ¿me molestaría si cada uno supiera que este era mi op-ción? Pro. 11:3 “A los justos los guía su integri-

dad; a los falsos los destruye su hipo-

cresía.”

Prueba de Revisión: ¿Y si cada uno siguiera mi ejemplo? I Tim 4:12 Que nadie te menosprecie por ser

joven. Al contrario, que los creyentes

vean en ti un ejemplo a seguir en la ma-

nera de hablar, en la conducta, y en

amor, fe y pureza.

Prueba Espiritual: ¿estoy presionado por gente yo o conducido por El Espíri-tu? Gal. 1:10¿Qué busco con esto: ganarme la

aprobación *humana o la de Dios?

¿Piensan que procuro agradar a los

demás? Si yo buscara agradar a otros,

no sería *siervo de Cristo.

Prueba que Tropieza: ¿podría esto hacer que otra persona tropezara? Rom.

14:21 21 Más vale no comer carne ni

beber vino, ni hacer nada que haga

*caer a tu hermano. Prueba de Serenidad: ¿he orado y he recibido la paz sobre esta decisión? Phil. 4:6-7 No se inquieten por nada; más bien, en toda ocasión, con oración y ruego, presenten sus peticiones a Dios y denle gracias. 7 Y la paz de Dios, que sobrepasa todo entendimiento, cuidará sus corazones y sus pensamientos en Cristo Jesús.

Prueba de Santificación: ¿me impedirá esto crecer en el carácter de Cristo? II

Cor. 3:18 Así, todos nosotros, que con el rostro descubierto reflejamos[a] como en un espejo la gloria del Señor, somos transformados a su se-mejanza con más y más gloria por la acción del

Señor, que es el Espíritu.
