For all those who welcome the call of the Lord to serve Him as priests, deacons, sisters and brothers, that they will be strengthened in their vocations as servants of all with the simplicity of children of God, we pray to the Lord.
We will have Adoration of the Blessed Sac-rament every Friday beginning with Mass at 7:30 am and ending with Benediction at 12:00 pm. We will continue with our Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament on First Fridays begin-ning at the 7:30 am Mass, Benediction at 12:00 pm, and Adoration until the 5:00 pm Mass.

Ministry to the Sick Do you like to visit the sick or homebound, giv-ing them Holy Commun-ion? If you are already a communion minister in our parish and are available for this outreach, come to a training on Monday, September 28 at 7:30pm in the Emmaus Room, Cottrell Center. You will learn the proper and practical procedures for this minis-try as well as the diocesan requirements for this important care for the sick, shut-ins and elderly who cannot attend Mass. 'TIS THE GIFT TO BE SIMPLE The Shaker hymn describes a circular jour-ney from innocence to innocence with char-acteristic brevity: 'Tis the gift to be simple, 'tis the gift to be free. 'Tis the gift to come down where we ought to be. This journey is easier sung about than done. It takes humility and time to recover a second innocence. Titles, positions of honor, money, and power are not requirements of the king-dom of God. Jesus says and demonstrates in today's Gospel that members of God's king-dom must hold in their embrace the most inconsequential of persons, for that person is identified with Jesus. This attitude ran coun-ter to the intuition of the world of Jesus' time, as it does in ours. The simplicity set forth by Jesus requires the shedding of unnecessary, unimportant, false, and burdensome attachments that earthly power demands. EL DON DE LA SENCILLEZ El himno de un grupo religioso llamado Shakers describe con su brevedad carac-terística un camino circular de inocencia a inocencia: Es el don de la sencillez, el don de la libertad. Es el don de agacharnos hasta donde debemos estar. Este camino es más fácil cantarlo que hacerlo. Se necesita humildad y tiempo para recuperar una segunda inocencia. Títulos, posiciones de honor, dinero y poder no son requisitos del Reino de Dios. Jesús dice y demuestra en el Evangelio de hoy que los miembros del Reino de Dios deben abrazar hasta la persona más insignificante, pues Jesús se identifica con esa persona. Esta acti-tud era contraria a la intuición del mun-do en tiempos de Jesús, al igual que en nuestro tiempo. La sencillez que Jesús presenta hace necesario un despojarse de ataduras innecesarias, no importantes, falsas y pesadas que los poderes del mundo requieren. TRADICIONES DE NUESTRA FE Cuando Jesús hablaba de sí mismo, muchas veces lo hizo en tercera perso-na, refiriéndose así mismo como: "El Hijo del Hombre". En hebreo, la ex-presión hijo de hombre se escribe ben Adam (hijo de Adán/hombre) o kibar anash (hijo del humano). Normalmente pensamos que con este título Jesús se está identificando con nosotros quienes somos ben Adam. No obstante, el Nue-vo Testamento prefiere Huios anthropos que se encuentra en el libro de Daniel 7:11-14. En Daniel, el Hijo del Hombre no es un simple ser humano, es un ser glorificado que llega en las nubes y Di-os le otorga dominio, honor y gloria. En la época de Jesús se esperaba que el Hijo del Hombre sería el pobre y oprimido que, rescatado por Dios, reci-bía el derecho de juzgar a sus opresores. El Hijo del Hombre sabe lo que es su-frir, por eso, en lugar de vengarse, es misericordioso. Jesús es este "Hijo del Hombre" que se identifica con los hijos e hijas de Adán, especialmente con las personas más débiles y abusadas. Kinh cầu cho các gia đình nhân Đại Hội Các Gia Đình. Lạy Chúa là Cha chúng con, trong Chúa Giêsu, Con Cha, Đấng Cứu Độ chúng con, Cha đã cho chúng con được làm con cái Cha trong gia đình Hội Thánh. Xin hồng ân và tình yêu của Cha giúp các gia đình chúng con khắp mọi nơi trên thế giới được hiệp nhất với nhau và trung thành với Lời Cha. which you could enroll your children.

$100 for first year and continued Formation Students $120 - Second Year Students
You can pick up the registration forms in the parish office or stop by if you have any
questions . Catechetical Ministry office is open Tuesday - Friday 12 pm - 4PM .
