September 11, 2016 As children most of us got lost, the experience was probably so horrifying that we made sure it never happened again. When we remember that scary experience and the marvelous experience of being found, we can relate to Jesus’ story about the lost sheep. As adults most of us have lost something valuable and or useful- keys, wallets, cell phone - and know the sick experience of realizing we had lost it and know the even more exhilarating feeling of finding it. Jesus was a master teacher. He could take universal life experiences and put them into story form in order to teach a lesson. Since we can all relate to the “once lost but now found” theme we can also apply it to the many times in the course of our lives, indeed in the course of every day, when we became maybe not totally lost but a little distracted and strayed from awareness of the watchful and loving eye of our divine Father in heaven. The Lord constantly calls us by name, and points out to us where we left or lost our God-given gifts, His gifts. What matters and what this parable tells us is that God is ever-watchful even when we are not and that he seeks us out when we are lost and he points us in the right direction. Questions: 1. How do we sometimes get lost? 2. What happened when you are found? 3. What does it mean that God is “Ever-watchful”? “God is Ever-watchful” Luke 15:1-10 OUR STEWARDSHIP LIFE AT WORK Worship Attendance - Sat 9/3 5:00 pm 24 Sun 9/4 8:30 am (Comm) 72 (63) 10:45 am 75 September YTD General Offering $8,917 Avg. God calls us to “Come and See” how He brings

about His salvation in the most unexpected ways and

us to be surprised by His awesome deeds of

salvation in Jesus Christ even today, among people

whom we might think least likely to receive His

blessings. The Lord surprises us. So Come and See!
