Calling all men – young and old! Join us for breakfast THIS Saturday, September 17th for a time of food, sharing and fellowship. We will meet from 7:30am – 9:00am in the Fellowship Hall. Signup at the Connections Booth this morning! We hope to see you there! Jubilee Sunday 2016 Our annual Jubilee Sunday is NEXT Sunday, September 18th. We are planning a great day and we hope you’ll make plans to be with us and bring a guest! The schedule for the day is as follows: 9:30am – Combined Class for Adults & Students (Kids classes will meet)
10:45am – Worship Noon – BBQ Lunch (Details for the Meal are covered) If you are able to bring a dessert please sign up in the foyer today! Fall Festival & Chili Cook Off Mark your calendars for the “KCOC Fall Festival and Chili Cook-off” Sunday, October 16th from 4-6 pm. This will be a great outreach opportunity to the Kaufman community. Please bring a friend! Also we are in great need of volunteers to help run the events, so please sign up at the Fall Festival tables in the foyer if you can help! Fall Festival Donations – In preparation for the Fall Festival we are asking for candy, small prizes or cash donations (to buy candy and prizes.) You can leave purchases in one of the donation tubs around the building and give cash donations to Emily Blaylock or Linda Mott. NEW KCOC Coffee Mugs Available New KCOC coffee mugs are for sale in the foyer for $4. Get one today!
Ladies Bible Class Will resume this Tuesday, September 13 from 10-11 a.m. There have been a lot of good things happening during the summer at KCOC. Come and hear all about it. Hope to see you there! A Conversation On Poverty The Conversation on Poverty event that was originally scheduled for Sunday, October 2nd has been rescheduled for Sunday, January 22nd. Mark your calendars now for this important day. Want To Serve As A Greeter? We are in the process of searching for new and additional people to serve as greeters on Sunday morning. This service opportunity can be done by anyone with a willingness to smile and greet guests and members as they come to worship each week. See Lindsey Patton or Lisa McFarlin for more information or to express an interest! Wall of Crosses Out of respect for the cross as a symbol of our faith, we are creating a wall of crosses in the church foyer. The committee welcomes donations of crosses up to 24 in. tall. (We could use several 15-20” and at least 10” or smaller.)
We will be accepting donations through Sept. 25. You may print your name on the back of the cross. Contact Monique Morgan ,Lisa McFarlin, Jan Huffstutler or Casey Cunningham with any questions. STUDENT MINISTRY NEWS - 7th-12th Grade
Sunday Mornings – Join us at 9:30 as we continue in our series Learning to Lead – looking at 1 & 2 Timothy. Wednesday–Our After School Program continues. Students are welcome to come hang out and play games in the Teen Room. We will have $3 pizza at 6pm and Worship at 7pm. The van will pick students up after school or they can be dropped off here.
