Sepsis: improving recognition and management 2016 is a one day CPD certified conference that will examine the challenges of identifying those at risk and provide practical advice on immediate management.

Sepsis is a significant cause of death and disability in the UK. According to the UK Sepsis Trust, 44,000 people are estimated to die of sepsis each year.

Current evidence-based guidelines emphasise the need for good initial assessment and immediate treatment, but in busy hospital departments, these protocols are not always followed.
