Pros: SUPER Comfortable, Big Soundstage, Natural Sound,Good Solid Bass, Yoga Flexible

Cons: Princess Leia Looks, Earpads are So-So (But can bereplaced), Fixed Long Cord, Slightly Bright

  The PreSounus HD7 is a rebranded version of the Superlux 681 and that is just fine.If you are going to be a copy, be a copy of something that is good and respected. Now if you are going to compare the HD7 to the 681.  It can be summed up in one word, Blue.The HD7 has blue rings and the 681 has red ones.  And.... there you go.  My full review. Or is there more too it?  Nope.  Though, I'm still going to do my review, because I took some nicepictures.That and I have never actually listened to the 681, so I can't actually compare the sound.  So Iguess I really do haveto finish the review after all.  The PreSonus HD7 is a great all around headphone and let me tell you why.  Comfort:   With the clever system (directly from the AKG 240) that automatically expands the headband tothe size of your head as you put it on.Pads can feel on the cheap side, but I have provided a simple fix for that after the review below. 

   Build:   Plastic.  It is all plastic.  Also, EXTREMELY flexible!  Look at this picture below!  Nuts!  Goes rightback into shape, like nothing even happened. 

   Looks:   

They are not pretty.  Though some could say they are Fun and Retro.  All I know, is my wifestarted laughing hysterically when I put them on.  Sexy. 

   Accessories:   It has a bag you can carry it in and an adapter.  Yep. 

 

   Sound:   Natural, warm, and controlled.  Great words to describe the first time I heard them and continue tobe as time goes on.  They can get a tad bright from time to time, depending on what you are listening to.  Bass is bigand deep, but does not bleed into the mids.Mids themselves are neither forward or recessed.  Just where they should be I guess.  Overallpresentation is of clarity and simplicity.   

  Overall:   I very much enjoy the PreSonus HD7, as I am sure I would enjoy the Superlux 681.  The HD7 isan easy headphone to recommend for the price.It won't hurt the wallet and it will make the ears feel ooohhh so good.

  And you can see the velvet ones seem to be just slightly smaller.  Which I will admit, makes thema pain in the ass to put on the HD7.These are not pads you will want to switch back and forth with stock. Once on, the velvet feels wonderful on the ears.  Makes using them for extended periods abreeze.  Plus, they kinda look cool.
