Introduction

The area of SECORD Township (G-4101) was staked in 2004, claim number 4200062 was recorded (a one unit 16 ha. mining claim) in the authors name. The target commodity is SILICA--an adjacent claim 1136162 is in the name of Secord Silica Corporation, has a pit with stock piles of Si02. Although considerable work has been done and a large area of good quality silica rock exposed, the pit is not in operation. The author, having had previous experience with industrial minerals, undertook an exploration program on 4200062. With the financial assistance of an Ontario Exploration Corporation (OEC) in the form of a Prospector's grant, a program was carried out in May and June of2005. The results of the workgeological mapping, prospecting and sampling--are the content of the report.

Access & Location

The claim 4200062 is in central Secord Twp.--15 kilometers SSE on the Greater City of Sudbury. (NTS: 8050' -46 18')(GPSreadingtoclaimpost#4isI7T 0508881E, UTM 5130418N). Automobile access is south on Hwy. 69 to Horeshoe Lake Road tum off, approx. 12 k., then southwest 16 k. to the junction of a tote road. A 1.4 k. walk in, or alternately 4 by 4 east and short 400 meter trail walk to post #4. The township boundary is the southern extent of the cities geographic limits.

\Vork Performed -

There was 2 700 meters of geological mapping on traverse line carried out General prospecting and exploration was carried out on and around the claim--800 meters. A sampling program was performed on nine samples, three were on the main showing--assay results included below--a grab, a chip over 4 meters and a grid sample. Six other hand samples were examined in the field as well as under x 10 power microscope. (results bellow, as well as on drafted maps included)

Page 3

Geological Description & Findings

The outlined and targeted mineral occurrence is the Orthoquartzite, (a clastic, arenaceous, well sorted meta sediment, derived from 95% Si02 sandstone, and found as partially metamorphosed beds--interleaved with siliceous, orthoclase (K-spar) muscovite-alumina rich-silicate partially gneissic and granular. The dimensions of the zone are roughly 110 meters x 40 meters. The strike is 50 degrees to the east and dip is 70 to 80 degrees to the southeast. (see separate assay result sheet)

The Grenville Province, in which the target is found and 10k. southeast of the Grenville Front, is a part of the Precambrian Shield, at the south--east part and it is reflective of an orogenic event that occurred 1 400 m.y.a. Preceding the event it is now believed that on the margins of a proto-continent sediments of various composition and thickness were deposited. The sedimentary column was laved down in great thickness. Continental segments of this pile collided in a plate movement to form the orogenic event and further mountain building and further burial metamorphosed the sediments to about 700 degree Celsius. The Grenville section was eroded to a depth at which old basement rocks were exposed. The Shield and the Grenvelle Province itself are a deep exposiour that are on an even older crystalline basement. The Province is reflective as a major metamorphic, tectonic and plutonic mountain building period of the Shield.

Within the silica occurrence area, there is a large area (4 k. by 2 k.) of two granitic-monzenite plutons; the Estaire and Wanup Plutons; 2 k. to the east Minor intrusions of gabbroic gneisses are two kilometers to the north. Thin bedded biotite-qtz-plagiodase gneiss, derived from fine to medium greywacke, with 10 % granite dikes, sills and mostly inter-bedded in the gneiss. The wall rock is a highly siliceous muscoviteorthoclase-plagioclase high alumina gneiss--the Orthoquartzite and interlayering ore zone area is part of this sequence--described above. In areas--to the north on the claim is calic-gamet gneiss. The immediate area has some biotite schist zones that may be the result of localized metamorphism around some small faults. Structurally there are three very small faults near the showing, although to the west there is a fault that expresses itself in an 18 meter sheer cliff A major fault of note is the Murdock River Fault, 3 k. to the east and trends N'NW. Gneisosity is distinct throught. It is generally 10 degrees to 20 degrees east of north, with dip of foliations at 50 to 60 degrees.

Economically, 94.5% Si02, with anomalous Al203 of3.0 wt% that is only present when the interlayring of the qtz-feldspare gneiss (otherwise 0.4 wt% Al203), low Fe, low potassium, would limit the applications of the SILICA. A very ruff figure for the square area, tonnes per vertical meters (to 8 m. depth); there is 100,000 metric tonnes of 95% Si02. Also, with high Al203 and waste rock to take into account, marginal. Hand cob of waste is questionable.
