Flu Shots are Coming! - Sunday, Oct. 3, our Flu/Pneumonia Immunization Clinic will take place in Fellowship Hall from 8:30 a.m. until 12:00 noon. Cost is $30 for the flu shot and $55 for the pneumonia shot.
Olan Mills Pictorial Directory - If you attend Dayspring, we want your picture! A sign-up table will be in Fellowship Hall this morning for portraits to be taken 10/18 - 10/23. On-line sign-ups are also available at www.signup.olanmills.com using the church phone number, (480) 838-1446 to log-on.

Dayspring Youth Ministry (DYM):**10:15 - 11:30 - Sr. High Formation, Room 111**10:15 - 11:30 - Jr. High Formation, Room 110**D’Back’s Game: Join us on Friday, September 24 to watch the Arizona Diamondbacks take on the Los Angeles Dodgers. This is Faith and Family Night so the game will be followed by a post-game player Q&A and a live concert featuring Jeremy Camp. We will meet at the green gate at 5:45PM. **Fall Retreat: Fall Retreat is coming October 3 - 5. This year our
theme is “Who Will I Be?” We will enjoy a pizza dinner on Friday evening before leaving for Mingus Mountain Camp and a weekend of fun, exploration, and fellowship, returning Sunday afternoon. For those
involved in other activities Friday evening, we will have one or more cars departing for the camp on Saturday morning. Sign-up forms are available in Jr. and Sr. High rooms. and must be returned by September 18.
Explorer’s Class - The Explorer’s Class continues its series on “Amazing Grace,” the story of the abolitionist movement in Britain, this morning. Portions of the film will be shown and discussed. 9:00 a.m. in the Adult Room. Janelle Raupp and Jacob Spencer are leading this class.
Contemporary Issues - The Contemporary Issues Class will be studying the book, The First Paul: Reclaiming the Radical Visionary Behind the Church’s Conservative Icon for the next 8 weeks. The discussion will be led by Shannon Buzard. Class meets at 10:30 a.m. in the Adult Room.
Brown Bag Lunch - Come join us for Brown Bag Lunch every Tuesday at 12:00 noon. Bring your own lunch and socialize with people from the church. We always have a good time! Come and be part of this fun group.
Singles at Dayspring -Singles, Etc. Lunches - Each Sunday after the second service, those who want to go out for lunch as a group meet at the restaurant listed below. If you attend first service, please join us! We gather around noon under the name “Dayspring”. Sept. 19 - Applebee’s - SE corner of Elliot and Auto Plex.
United Methodist Men - The first UMM meeting of the fall will be Saturday, Oct. 2nd, at 8:00 a.m. beginning with breakfast in the Adult Room followed by a great program. Please plan to attend and bring a friend or neighbor!
Dinner Groups - Dayspring Dinner Groups are a great opportunity to get to know other members! Interested in participating? Stop by the Dinner Group table in Fellowship Hall on Sept. 26th. For further information, or to register, email [email protected], or call Nancy Creighton Brown at (480) 821-8696.
UMOM Sunday Dinners - We need volunteers to help with UMOM homeless shelter dinners on the following Sundays: Oct. 10, 17 and 24, and November 14 and 21. You would need to be at the center at 3:30 p.m. to help cook and would be done by shortly after six. Please contact Carolyn Reid at [email protected] or (602) 882-5292 if you have any questions or would like to volunteer. Thanks so much for your help.
