2.3. How to Correct Sentence Fragment 1. By adding information.

2. By joining sentence using FANBOY, Subordinating Conjunction, Semi Colon (;), or delete full stop. Incorrect: He likes playing soccer. Playing game. Correct: He likes playing soccer and playing game. Incorrect: His phone rang. While he was sleeping. Correct: His phone rang while he was sleeping.

3. By deleting subordinating conjunction. Incorrect: Although grammar is important for effective

writing. Correct: Grammar is important for effective writing. Incorrect: After I read a book about Khmer History

yesterday. Correct: I read a book about Khmer History yesterday.

How to Correct Choppy Sentences• By joining the choppy sentences with:

- FANBOYS- Subordinating conjunction- Semicolon (;)- Relative pronoun - Adding some information

Incorrect: Lana is good at singing. She has a beautiful voice. She was born in Phnom Penh. She is my favorite star. She likes to sing since she was a child.

Correct: Lana is good at singing, and she has a beautiful voice. She is my favorite star who was born in Phnom Penh, and she likes to sing since she was a child.
