Types of sentences

Coordinating conjunctions:The connect between clauses without affecting them. And they are also called fan boys.They are: for, and, nor, but, or, yet, so
Subordinator:They are used to introduce dependent clause
Phrases:• It is a group of words where the subject or the verb is missing• a phrase can be a subject
Clauses:1. Independent clause
• a group of words with a subject an object and a verb• it has a meaning on its own
2. Dependent/ Subordinate clause
• a group of words having a subject a verb and an object
• it has no meaning on its own
Sentences:1. Simple sentence
• consists of only one independent clause
2. Compound sentence:• consist of more then one independent clause• has no subordinate clause• coordinating conjunction (fan boys) are used to connect between independent clauses
3. Complex sentence:• has one independent clause• any number of subordinate clauses
4. Compound Complex sentence:• has more then one independent clause• has any number of dependent clauses
