SENSITIVE 200 SERIES LINEAR LABELERS

The containers are fed and transported by an independently driven conveyor belt which speed is synchronized with the machine’s one. The containers are then positively conveyed to the label distribution area by an in-feed scroll, which provides for appropriate spacing among the containers to allow label application. The machine is equipped with a safety system for fallen bottles with machine stop and alarm on the control panel.

Label dispensing and application group is driven by brushless motor for automatic synchronization with the container transport speed; the dispensing groups are provided for vertical and transversal position adjustments for a quick regulation of the label position on the container, complete with digital indicator hand-wheel.The dispensing unit is provided with backing paper recovery support with high capacity controlled by a mechanical system which allows constant paper tensioning.

An upper conveyor belt and contrast heads, keep square/oval containers in position during label application, to assure higher labeling accuracy.

The machine is equipped with an HMI for the supervision and monitoring of all machine status, real time production, label management, intervention of safety devices and alarms with clear description of the fault and relevant troubleshooting. The machine is completely controlled by a PLC with fail-safe logic. On demand an industrial PC can be installed when CFR21 Part 11 compliance is required. The size change over and the batch information are managed by means of recipes directly from HMI.

The two labeling heads are positioned one opposite to each other and are adjustable in height according to the container size to be processed.

SENSITIVE 200 can handle differently shaped containers on the same machine giving the highest degree of flexibility during production. Round containers can also be processed on the machine, on demand; in this case, however, it’s possible to apply only one label.

A compact machine design allows max. operator’s accessibility over the entire working areas. The basement has been also realized in order to increase the visibility and to ensure easy cleaning and maintenance operations. The neat basement is able to allow the easy installation of additional units such as video-cameras or printing devices. Safety protection hood realized in anodized aluminum with Plexiglas panels in compliance with accident prevention standards, equipped with magnetic retention sensors to stop machine in case of door opening.

DOUBLE LABEL REEL HOLDERS INTEGRATED ON SIDE MACHINE BASEMENT FOR LABEL REEL MANUAL CHANGE; THE HOLDERS ARE COMPLETE WITH AUTOMATIC DE-REELING AND SENSORS FOR LABEL REEL-END DETECTION.

The rejection unit is designed according to the latest GMP’s regulations, maximum visibility of the whole labeling process. It consists of a compressed air jet to reject containers with missing label and/or faulty printed data into a box or, a mechanical arm to divert the containers onto a parallel belt (available only for stable bottles). The guides configuration and realization ensure an increased operator’s access to the rejection area; the conveyor belt covers are realized in transparent plastic material with upper opening to facilitate the removal of the rejected bottles.

Double EASY SPLICE reel carrier, complete with pre-alarm photoelectric cells on each reel with acoustic and visual signals and a working surface to allow easy and quick connection of label reels. The unit can be easily moved and can be positioned parallel to or at 90° to the conveyor belt. This system enables the continuous in-feed of new label reels without interrupting the machine working process.

Label distribution and application are driven by an automatic stepping motor synchronized with the operating speed. The distribution unit is equipped with vertical adjustment by means of a handwheel in order to rapidly adjust the position of the label on the container. Moreover, it features a large capacity recovery system controlled by a mechanical clutch which keeps the paper constantly taut. The distribution unit enables the installation of the widest range of hot foil printing units, too.Label spacing is kept by means of feed stopping with a fork photocell and a projector-receiver, which is assembled on micrometric screw adjustment carriage. Labels are wrapped around containers with synchronized motorization mechanically transmitted by the main motorization operator of the conveyor belt label.The electrical panel contains the controlling system (EVER), electro-mechanical instrumentation and the various power interlocks installed under the machine working surface.Control panel with operator panel, START/STOP buttons and Emergency button situated at the front facing the operator, in order to be as accessible and visible as possible.

SENSITIVE ROTO HIGH SPEED ROTARY LABELER

Thanks to the modularity design concept, ROTO can be fitted with 1, 2, 3 or even 4 labeling heads to apply up to 4 labels on the same container.Two heads can also be used alternatively in sequence, according to the labeling process requirements. Special 3 panel labels application on square bottles is also possible; in this case the machine output is limited to lower speed.

Size change over and batch information are managed by means of recipes directly from HMI.

Safety protection hood realized in anodized aluminum with Plexiglas panels in compliance with accident prevention standards, equipped with magnetic retention sensors to stop machine in case of door opening.

THE CONSTRUCTION MODULARITY AND THE RANGE OF GROUPS WHICH CAN BE INSTALLED ON THE MACHINE MAKES ROTO THE MOST FLEXIBLE SOLUTION IN TERMS OF HIGH SPEED LABELING.

The containers are fed through a scroll onto a star-wheel and conveyed on a rotary carousel consisting of bottom elevating platforms, shaped according to container’s size, and of upper contrast heads to allow positive transport of containers, keeping them stable during label application. The containers are then transported to the labeling station for the application of the first label. Once rotated, the containers are fed to the second labeling station for second label application. Containers are always rotated and oriented before labeling.

The machine is equipped with an HMI for the supervision and monitoring of all machine status, real time production, label management, intervention of safety devices and alarms with clear description of the fault and relevant troubleshooting. ROTO is completely controlled by a PLC with fail-safe logic; on demand an industrial PC can be installed when 21 CFR Part 11 compliance is required.

As an alternative to the use of two heads, the double EASY SPLICE reel carrier allows easy and quick connection of label reels. It is complete with pre-alarm photoelectric cells on each reel with acoustic and visual signals and a working surface. It can be easily moved and positioned parallel or at 90° to the conveyor belt.This system enables the continuous in-feed of new label reels without interrupting the machine working process.

The rejection unit consists of a mechanical arm to divert the containers with missing label and/or faulty printed data into a box or onto a parallel belt (available only for stable bottles). In case of unstable containers the rejection is realized with vacuum suction cups and a star-wheel onto a parallel belt.The guides configuration and realization ensure an increased operator’s access to the rejection area; to ease the removal of rejected bottles.
