What is Applied Learning (ApL)?
Applied Learning courses are elective subjects within the Senior Secondary Curriculum
Personal, Social and Humanities Education
Chinese History, Economics, Ethics & Religious Studies, Geography, History, Tourism & Hospitality Studies
Science Education Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Integrated Science, Combined Science

All students must apply through their schools.
The EDB and schools will fully subsidise students taking ApL courses. Students need not pay the course fees.
Over 330 schools are offering ApL courses now.

uploaded to the Qualifications Register: 1. Jewellery Arts & Design 2. Commercial Comic Art 3. Western Cuisine 4. Fundamental Cosmetology 5. Fundamental Health Care
Percentage of students in ApL awarded: ‘Attained’ – about 90 % in both 2012 & 2013 ‘Attained with Distinction’ – 23.9% in 2012 & 21% in 2013
