Loyola University Faith Formation Coordinator
The Faith Formation Coordinator designs and implements faith based programs that enable
students to develop an adult appropriation of their Catholic, Christian faith by sponsoring Bible
studies, prayer groups, and Christian Life Communities (CLCs). CLCs have been a tradition at
Jesuit universities for 450 years. Recruiting and forming the student leaders for these respective

Sheffield’s congregation, in North Alabama Presbytery, on the Tennessee River, has dwindled
considerably in size but not in heart. Although the new pastor would be in a part-time position
(3-4 days/week), the congregation is active and involved. Currently the congregation hosts a
weekly free dinner to the hungry in the area; funded by members and other interested folks in the

hosted tornado recovery teams from across the nation, who come for a week’s work doing clean-
up, house repair and other necessary work for victims of tornadoes. The congregation also has
an impressive choir which occasionally combines with other choirs for community events. The

membership, who willingly participates in its mission and activities, who carefully prepares for
