Are you a local high school student who is involved in activities, sports, or student government in school or
at church? Would you like to know more about local events and activities? Are you interested in helping to
bridge the gap between student government and local government? Then you might want
to apply to serve as a Youth Representative on the Reedley Parks and Recreation Com-
mission.
The Youth Rep position was created to improve communication between local young
people and the Commission in order to better serve the youth of our community with fa-
cilities and sports/enrichment activities. The Youth Reps attend all regular Commission
meetings and volunteer at 3-4 Reedley Community Services Department events. Recruit-
ing for the 2020-21 reps will take place in May. Applications available at
www.reedley.com or the Reedley Community Center, 100 N. East Avenue, Reedley or call

Hello, my name is Karen Rubalcaba. I truly enjoy
teaching the PreSchool and Pre-Kindergarten Pro-
grams here at the Reedley Community Center!
I believe that children need to first experience a love
and excitement for learning. There are a lot of smiles
and fun throughout our day here, all while preserving
the innocence of an early childhood. It is especially
important in the early years to learn outside of the
classroom as well. We make time to connect daily
with nature and experience a lot of hands on learning!
Our curriculum is Blueprint for Early Literacy, which is
available online for parents to easily follow along with.
Together we will build a strong educational foundation, giving your children
the ability to grow and succeed in life and their educational years to come.
Hello! My name is Jesus Rodri-
guez, and it is with great honor
that I would like to introduce
myself as the new Recreation
Coordinator for the City of Reed-
ley. As a new team member, my
goal is to help create and provide
awesome experiences for all of
our community members partici-
pating in youth and adult pro-
grams, as well as special events.
I am truly excited to serve our
great community alongside an
incredible team, and I am eager
to work with and for you all.
Come join our programs and see
all the fun that Reedley has to
offer.
