The Ugly Duckling

differences between the various versions. They will write
and illustrate their own versions of The Ugly Duckling.
Rumpelstilskin Senior Infants are seen here illustrating the characters and settings of

Our Feathered Friend
Senior Infants had an unexpected but very welcome visit from
a lost homing pigeon today. The beautiful bird stopped for a
rest outside their classroom. Whilst taking a breather the
boys and girls had a rare opportunity to observe it. The
unplanned moment offered the children a chance to comment
and ask questions. They could clearly see the lovely colouring
on the bird and noticed little tags one on each of its legs. As
it flew away the children observed that it had a damaged tail
feather, perhaps that's why it needed a rest.
