About Us

Companion Radio has been serving the senior population since 1994 . We provide our specially designed music and programming to more than 400 nursing homes, senior living communities and senior activity centers nationwide.

Companion Radio’s programming is specifically tailored for seniors. We offer four stations to meet the varied needs of your residents, delivered 24/7 through digital FM radios.

Our Offering

ReminiscenceThe Reminiscence Station brings back the music your residents enjoyed in their youth . Enjoy special programs dedicated Benny Goodman, the Swing Era, and holiday music, all specifically chosen for the enjoyment of seniors.

To further enhance the listening experience, our announcer accompanies songs with trivia tidbits and pop quizzes to remind listeners of the artist or time when the song was recorded.

Golden Age Entertainment The Golden Age Entertainment Station

provides music from the ’50s to ’70s and is specifically programmed for younger residents.

Our senior-oriented “talk minutes” at the top of each hour feature Jim Miller, creator of the syndicated column.

The Serenity Station can help you calm and soothe those with dementia-related diseases, including Alzheimer’s.

The programming on this station includes simple, familiar melodies and instrumental music to reduce confusion and promote relaxation.

Potpourri The Potpourri Station offers music, games, entertainment, and more. In addition to music, residents enjoy our mix of games, exercise classes, and senior-oriented news.

This station is programmed to offer stimulation during the day and relaxation at night. Our daily Broadway Musicals are particularly popular and are well-suited for group activities

In- Service Training

To keep your staff up-to-date and in compliance with training requirements, Companion Radio offers 21 hours of in-service training. Topics are designed for the unique challenges faced by those who care for an aging population.

This training package is included free when you subscribe to Companion Radio.
