Happy Holidays!
As this year comes to a close, I want to thank all of you for a really great year here at the Senior Center. Your participation has made this the busiest year ever and promises to be an exciting year ahead, with much to look forward to. The kindness and enthusiasm that fills these rooms is so much in keeping with the Christmas spir-it. You come to join in on activities and events through participation or volunteering. You give your time for many good reasons but take away so much more from the friendships that are made here. What better representation of a Holiday Spirit could there be than having a venue such as the Senior Center to carry out goodwill for each other? Thank you again for being who you are and wanting to share yourselves with us. That is the best Christmas gift you could give.
Merry Christmas! Donna

Personal Perspective Article written by: Lynda Cran
It’s really hard to imagine that Christmas will soon be here, as well as, 2019. This year has just flown by, the Senior Center has been really crazy busy this
year. Just jumping all the time.
We are so lucky to have this facility, the wonderful volunteers, the absolutely great mem-bers, the instructors for the activities, the Foot & Nail workers, a progressive Board of Di-rectors, the craft ladies, and anyone I may have missed. Everyone who stops in from anoth-er town always comments on what a wonderful place this is, thanks to all of you.
Have a blessed Holiday and please keep coming here for fellowship.
Lynda Be Happy!
DON’T FORGET that the Shirley Doane Senior Center will be closed for the day because of weather when the Menomonie Schools are closed because of weather. Most of the local television and radio stations announce these school closings. No programs or activities are held here when schools are closed due to weather! Be safe!

THERE’S MORE TO CHRISTMAS AUTHOR UNKNOWN
There’s More to Christmas…
There’s more, much more to Christmas
Than candle-light and cheer;
It’s the spirit of sweet friendship
That brightens all the year;
It’s thoughtfulness and kindness,
It’s hope reborn again,
For peace, for understanding
And for goodwill to men!
