Dear Friends,

East Windsor kicked off 2020 with our annual reorganization meeting on January 1, at-

tended by about 200 people including state and county elected officials. After re-election victories, Peter Yeager,

John Zoller and I were sworn into office for another term. I am enthusiastically looking forward to another year

as Mayor, and Peter Yeager will serve as Deputy Mayor in 2020.

James Brady has returned effective January 6 as East Windsor Township Manager. Jim Brady previous-

ly served as Township Manager from January 2013 to January 2018 and prior thereto as Township Director of

Recreation after retiring as an East Windsor Police Lieutenant. Richard Brand, who had been serving as Town-

ship Manager since February 2018 through a shared services agreement between East Windsor Township and the

East Windsor Municipal Utilities Authority, will return fulltime to the EWMUA.

The Township has many goals and projects which were completed in 2019 and several continuing into or

commencing in 2020, which include:

+ The Route 130/Hankins Road/Conover Road Realignment Project was substantially completed, realigning

the three roads to meet at a single point controlled by a traffic signal allowing for all protected left turn move-

ments.

+ A 3-1/2 mile Union Transportation Trail extension connecting to the current trail in Monmouth County is

being designed and engineered with initial grant support from the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commis-

sion.

+ A new and upgraded Etra Lake Park Arboretum is being developed with SustainableJersey grant, to serve as

a community educational focus.

+ Significant East Windsor Senior Center expansion, with a $1 million Mercer at Play grant, is in progress to

better accommodate the growing membership and participation in the vibrant center programs and activities.

+ Anker Park improvements, including positive impacts to the creek, grading, walking path and tot lot surface,

are planned with Mercer at Play grant funds.

+ Several additional Open Space acquisitions, including on Etra Road and Windsor Perrineville Road, are in

process using Green Acres and Mercer County open space grants.

Best Wishes for a Happy Healthy Peaceful 2020!

Mayor Janice S. Mironov
