to the Virtual Dementia Tour, health care professionals, family caregivers, business leaders, first re-

sponders and educators are experiencing for themselves the physical and mental challenges facing peo-

ple with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.

The Virtual Dementia Tour—a scientifically proven method of building a greater understanding of de-

mentia through the use of patented sensory tools and instruction— is Your Window into Their World.

During a Virtual Dementia Tour experience, trained facilitators guide participants outfitted with pa-

tented devices that alter their senses while they try to complete common everyday tasks.

Call today for an appointment! LIMITED TO FIRST 24 PARTICIPANTS.

Caldwell Hospice is excited to offer the Virtual Dementia Tour to our community. Participants are led

SHIIP INFORMATION

The Road to Medicare

It is very important for everyone becoming eligible for

Medicare to get accurate information about coverage

and delivery options, including supplemental health in-

surance, Medicare health plans and prescription drug

coverage. Attention to these issues will help you avoid

serious and costly problems later.

The Senior’s Health Insurance Information Program

(SHIIP) provides FREE, unbiased information about

Medicare and other insurance related issues, and the

Senior Center has SHIIP volunteers to help you navigate

the world of Medicare.

SHIIP has created a handout “The Road to Medicare:

Planning Your Drive Toward 65.” It outlines the deci-

sions you’ll need to make and what options are available

through the Medicare System.

The Road to Medicare handout includes the following:

Caution: Slippery Road Ahead - Ways to Prepare for

Medicare

Green Light: Enrollment - When and how you need

to enroll in Medicare

Detour: Working Past 65 - Information for beneficiar-

ies who plan to work beyond age 65

Which Way to Supplemental Coverage? - Choices in

health insurance to supplemental Medicare

Stop: Get Help - Resources for further information

and assistance on the road to Medicare

Please don’t wait to make your Medicare decisions.

Please contact Ashe Services for Aging/Senior Center

and speak with a certified SHIIP Volunteer Counselor to

discuss your Medicare options. To arrange an appoint-

ment with a SHIIP Volunteer Counselor, contact the

Senior Center at 336-246-4347.
