Senior Building Surveyor – West London

My client are an award winning, multi-disciplinary property consultancy, based from a Zone 3 location

in West London. ‘Work hard, play hard’ is an often over used, rarely delivered cliché, although the

lunch-time round robin table tennis tournament proves that this is a truly proven ethos here. Fear not

though, if you’re useless with a paddle, the table football might be more your forte!

When they’re not playing sports in the office or hosting another one of their industry-renowned social

events, they are working hard on projects with some of the most recognised clients in the world. With

just over 100 members of staff, this SME are looking for a Senior Building Surveyor with significant

experience in dilapidations and dilapidation negotiations. MRICS is essential and ideally you will have

two years post-qualified experience working with commercial clients.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for managing own workload on day-to-day basis

Technical Due Diligence Surveys

Design and contract administration duties - principally repair and maintenance works

Dilapidation's, acting on behalf of landlords and tenants

Preparing and agreeing schedules of condition

Preparing fire insurance/reinstatement valuations

Undertaking planned maintenance inspections and preparing reports

Basic Requirements:

Degree in Building Surveying or related

MRICS chartered

Experience of design and contract administration duties

Dilapidations, acting on behalf of both landlords and tenants

Schedules of condition

Defect analysis

Comfortable/Confident with Clients

Preferred Requirements:

Party Wall experience

Project Monitoring

DDA surveys

CAD
