Summary:

We are searching for a skilled Applications Engineer for our AC/DC power management

integrated circuits. Technical reference for our sales force, customers, & FAEs, providingtechnical know-how & technical problem solving expertise during promotion, design in &product maintenance phase. Applications cover SMPS /ACDC power supplies along withlighting applications, especially LED lighting.

y  K nowledge of customers¶ products & applications & system solution tradeoffs, providesrecommendations on product selection

y  As necessary: creating collateral materials such as webinars, presents papers atconferences, application notes & authors trade publications

y  Offers all aspects of technical customer support including:y  Collaboration with our design centers & other functions as needed to sustain design-in &

general promotion activities.y  Creation of reference designs & delivering personalized solutions for certain customer 

desiresy  Sustain the technical part of design-in activities in customer applicationsy  Advertising & promotion of our solutions at objective customersy  As necessary: on-site support at customers sites, working cooperatively with their design

teamsy  Training of FAE, sales force, & customers on our integrated circuit products for ACDC

power managementy  This role calls for travel approx. 30% of the time

R equirements: 

y  BSEE or related required, MSEE favoredy  Five plus years¶ experience in the area of ACDC SMPS with thorough knowledge in the

areas belowy  Dependable, inventive, & responsivey  Skilled with support tools like MathCAD, programming experience is favoredy  Able & willing to take accountabilityy  Outstanding knowledge of circuit implementations & SMPS architectures e.g. hard

switching converters for higher power levels, FF & QR flyback converters, & PFCarchitectures resonant

y  Capability to think & act cleverly & efficiently without directiony  Great knowledge of power supply applications for lighting with focus LED lighting,

understanding of FL lighting power supply applications is favoredy  Great presentation style & able to persuade others

y  Capability to work in a teamy  Lab & hands-on working practice, ability to work cooperatively with customers on the

bench & on the drawing board, practical & result orientedy  Exceptional communication skills (written & verbal)y  Outstanding knowledge in associated fields : semiconductor devices, magnetics,

specifically for high voltage & power applications, control theory, circuit theory,knowledge in digital control is favoredy  Able to swiftly understand complex situations/issues & solid quantitative analysis
