We are excited you are inquiring about being a contestant in the dual scholarship pageant for Miss Greater Jonesboro/Miss Arkansas Delta 2017! Perhaps you would like to participate in the upcoming pageant because of your outstanding leadership, talent and communication abilities, or for your quest of educational scholarship funds. You are about to embark on a very exciting experience filled with new friendships and new opportunities. Throughout your pageant experiences you will sharpen qualities of character and talent that you can use the rest of your life. We hope you will find the official information from the Miss Greater Jonesboro/Miss Arkansas Delta Scholarship Pageant regarding your wardrobe, competitions, and scholarships beneficial. Please read all of this information carefully as the rules may have changed. There is a special section of this document that tells you about forms. Some are electronic and some are not. An area of this document will tell you how to use the electronic forms. Please note that deadlines exist for your pageant information. You do not have to wait until the deadline. It would be best to call several days after you have mailed/delivered the information to ensure we have received it. Schedule: Saturday, January 21, 2017 8:00-10:00 a.m. Rehearsal at Nettleton High School Auditorium Jonesboro, AR TBA Interviews: Nettleton High School starting with teen then miss (Your specific time will be given at a later date) 6:30 p.m. Pageant Begins Sponsorship: There is a $150 sponsorship for miss contestants. Checks need to be payable to Miss Greater Jonesboro Scholarship Pageant Association. Make sure the contestant’s name(s) is on the check in the memo section, and send with all completed forms. Children’s Miracle Network (CMN): Each miss contestant is required to raise $100 for the Children’s Miracle Network. Your sponsor may or may not help you raise the CMN required donation. We urge you to ask others to donate to your CMN donation total so that you are not paying for it out of your own pocket. Below you will find the instructions of how to set your CMN account up so that you may begin collecting your donations. The total $100 has to be raised by the day before the pageant or you will be considered ineligible to compete in Miss Greater Jonesboro/Miss Arkansas Delta. How to register as a contestant of a local pageant

Each contestant is asked to register on-line at www.MissAmerica4Kids.org. At the bottom of the first screen is a button labeled “New Contestants - click here”. Press that button and you are on your way. It will take you 5 minutes or less to register. After you click the New Contestants button you will get a screen like this:

Once you have filled this screen out be sure to add Miss Greater Jonesboro/Miss Arkansas Delta to your list of pageants you will be competing in. Forms: ALL forms must be completed and turned in by January 14, 2017 along with your sponsorship money. The following forms are located on the Miss Arkansas Pageant website (www.missarkansas.org/forms) and need to be filled out completely and turned in by the due date previously given:

• Local Contestant Contract (Fillable allows you to fill it out on your computer or

you can use the manual by printing the form and handwriting your answers in the blanks.)

• Platform o An example of what your platform sheet needs to look like is

provided under “Platform Statement Instructions”

• Resume o An example of what your resume sheet needs to look like is

provided under “Sample Resume” • Contract Free Agreement • Contestant Release and Indemnity Agreement

Along with these seven forms you will also need to provide the following copies:

• Copy of your birth certificate • Copy of your latest transcript • Proof of residency (drivers license or bill) • A color or black & white photo of yourself from the shoulders or waist up. This
