First SeminarOlga González- Herpesviral Reactivation: A Key Step for Disease Development The Olga’s seminar and article, KSHV: forgotten but not gone, was a learning experience where I learned many new things. I learned what really Kaposi Sarcoma is about and what cause it, new scientific vocabulary and terms such as interleukin-(vIL-6), highly active antiretroviral (HAART), and primary effusion lymphoma (PEL). Another thing that I learned was how the economic intervene with targeting this disease and is more an economic problem than a scientific issue. Something that interests me was that many people in Africa have this virus because the mother transmits it to his/her baby, and they are not conscious of that terrible disease. In order to find a solution to this problem these articles present an option or a new way for treat KSHV- MCD. For this reason I am interesting in what Olga’s seminar and article bring to us because what she presented is a contribution not only to the science, is a contribution to the world.
