The Green 5S system (Green 5S) incorporates the original

Japanese 5S housekeeping principles and the concept of

Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle. The 5S principles have been

redefined as the Green 5S to emphases on the environmen-

tally friendly practices. It is aligned with the framework of

management systems standards incorporating the elements

of Quality (Q), Environment (E) and Occupational Health and

Safety (OHS)

Green 5S provides the foundation for best practices in Cre-

ating excellent workplace through improvement in quality,

health, safety, environment, productivity and image (Q, H, S,

E, P, I), hence reducing cost and increasing efficiency and

competitiveness of an organisation.

Has professional qualification such as: Passed Quality Management Interna-tional Training Course - Lead Assessors of Quality Management System, ISO 9001 Passed and registered as an Associate Value Specialist (AVS) by the Certification Board of SAVE International, Vienna, VA, USA - Certification

No. 2000702 Qualified by the SIRIM QAS as ISO 9001 auditor for MAMPU project); Passed written examination on ISO 9001:2000 Transition Training for Quality System Auditors; Passed performance and written examination on ISO/TS16949:2002 Oganisation /Supplier Auditor Certification Sanctioned Training by the SMMT, UK Oversight Office of the International Automotive Task Force (IATF) – Certification No. SMMT-05-04-007 and Certified Train-er – PSMB/MIM (Pembangunan Sumber Manusia Berhad/Malaysian Institute of Management) – Certification No. TTT/783. DR ABDUL GHANI BIN MOHD HASHIM graduated his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Business Administration special-izing in Lean Quality Environment and obtained his Master of Science (M.Sc) in Industrial Engineering (Georgia Tech). He is a MIM Certified Trainer, Expert Trainer for APEC Standard-based Management Program and Malaysian Technical Cooperation Program. He holds the first Green 5-S Gold-Belt and Black-belt in Malaysia. Dr Abdul Ghani has been working as an auditor, consultant and trainer for more than 30 years for the Standard and Industrial Re-search Institute of Malaysia (SIRIM) since 1981 and has been Head of Technical Services, Principal Consultant for Group Human Resource and Administration Department, Head of Best Practices Recognition Scheme, SIRIM Train-ing Services; and General Manager for Group Quality and OSHE for SIRIM. Currently, as Director and Managing Con-sultant of Safra Alrimayah Resources (SAR) Dr Abdul Ghani has conducted numerous workshops and has been fre-quently invited to be a panel of judges for national conferences in ICC, QIT Convention and forum panelist. He is a Senior Lead Auditor for Management System Standards with the main responsibilities to audit the industries for adequacy, compliance and surveillance in complying with the requirement of Management System Standards (ISO 9001:2015/14001 /ISO 45001; ISO/TS 16949, ISO 29001 and API Q1/Q2). Experience in auditing, training and con-sulting on Total Quality Management (TQM), he has been appointed as a Lead Expert for the Design of Training Modules for APEC HRD-IQAS, Experts/Trainers Workshop for Standard-Based Management Program, Principal Trainer for Malaysian Technical Cooperation Program (MTCP) and member in the National Committee and Local Expert for the UNIDO Asean-Japan TQM Project. He’s responsibility include preparing training packages and con-ducting training on subjects related to the Standard-based Management and Integrated Management System in-cluding TQM, 5-S, Green 5-S, Lean Management, Lean 6-Sigma, ICC, Process Management, Strategic Planning and Risk Management. He was the Principal Consultant for Quality Improvement Certification Scheme (QICS) for SUCO-FINDO, Indonesia and Malaysian Technology Consultants Sdn. Bhd. (MTC) to provide technical assistance for the provision of quality management system consultancy and certification for vendor development program. As a Pro-ject Coordinator and Trainer for Quality Improvement Program organized by SIRIM, the main job is to provide ex-tension and consultancy services in quality and productivity improvement for upgrading the technological and hu-man resource capability of local industries towards achieving a competitive advantage in domestic and international market.
