Login and password are the same as your network login and password; choose school from dropdown.
Type SEMESTER EXAM for the description.
MAX VALUE can be changed depending on your exam total.

parents. You may want to describe the task, provide a simple rubric, provide resource links, etc.
Leave as SECONDARY SCALE, Select a Category

Click on GRADEBOOK GRID.
Click on the Grade book
Click on the SEMESTER EXAM tab
Click on the tab of the desired class
Under Assignment, click on NEW
DATE ASSIGNED & DUE DATE need to be
between 11/09/11 - 1/20/12.

Copying Semester Exam to Multiple Classes
“FILL” COLUMN Put the value in one cell, click in the cell below that one, and then SHIFT-8.
Click on the GRADEBOOK GRID tab when you are ready to enter the
semester exam (BE SURE YOU ARE ON THE SEMESTER EXAM TAB!) Enter the grade for each student
The cell turns yellow and then white, indicating an entry has been auto-
saved.
BEFORE saving the SEMESTER EXAM, click the CLASSES tab to give this assignment to more than one class.
Choose CLASSES, check the class(es) to copy to > SAVE.

Entering Special Scores/Overriding Grades
Remember that StarWeb is officially calculating the student's semester grades.
From the pull-down, select the appropriate grade to override (SEMESTER EXAM, FIRST SEMESTER, QUARTER 1, or QUARTER 2).
NOTE: Old scores will be crossed out and replaced with the special code (In the example below, an
“incomplete” was given for the semester exam).
Click ONCE on the grade and the OVERRIDE GRADE window will come up.
To override a grade:
-Select the SECOND OPTION and manually
type in the grade
To enter a special score:
-Select the THIRD OPTION with the pull-down
menu and select the appropriate code.
Click SAVE.
Repeat for each student as necessary.
NOTE:
Inform Guidance prior to assigning anIncomplete or special score, as per school policy.

Entering Comment Codes (Optional)
From the ASSIGNMENTS menu, select REQUIRED ASSESSMENT.
Place the cursor in the comment column and press the SPACE BAR to bring up the list of
comment codes.
Select the comment code from the list provided and it will automatically fill in the cell.
