1. Getting ready to do my self – study guide. Things to check before getting started with
my job.
Materials needed:
Self – study guide # 6 for 11th Grade.
Integrate 4 Reading & Writing Book
Computer, tablet, or cellphone and internet.
Pencil, pen, eraser, and dictionary.
Conditions the place I am going to work should have
Work in the place you usually do your school assignments
and homework.
If possible, make sure there is good lighting, ventilation
and free from interruptions.
Expected time to work this self – study guide
This self – study guide will take approximately 80 minutes
to be completed.
Answers to the different exercises will be revised and
reviewed through Teams.

Dear student, The following self – study guide contains different activities aimed at reinforcing on “Reading Comprehension (Main ideas and supporting details)”. 1. Read the instructions for each task carefully before you start.
2. Complete all assigned exercises from the book Integrate 4 in
an organized and neat way.
3. Send me the evidence of the work done through TEAMS, go to “Assignments” in the “General Channel” and attach the pictures in a VERTICAL position of the following parts of this guide: Tasks # 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.
4. If any doubt, contact me through MICROSOFT TEAMS.
Think: What do you remember when you read the title: “Reading Comprehension (Main idea and supporting details)”

After Reading Task 3. Read the previous passage called “The Debate Team” and then, answer the following questions by writing an X to choose the best answer.
Task 4. Identify the main idea and supporting details by writing the corresponding letter in the corresponding box.

Task 5. Rewrite the main idea and supporting details from task 4 in the same order as
in the passage.

I complete the following checklist regarding the work done with help of the study – guide and then, I answer the questions by writing YES or NO into the corresponding box:
1.Did I read each of the instructions carefully?
2.Did I underline the words that I did not understand?
3.Did I look up at a dictionary or ask anyone about the meaning of the words I did not understand?
4.Did I read the instructions again when I did not understand what to do?
